  1. BH 35 - King 14 .... BH needs this too bad.
  2. These young men on this team arent throwing in the towel just yet on making the playoffs. There are two senarios and this week will be the tale on what needs to happen next week. And to answer the initial question.. BH fans are here and they are a great bunch of people that travel and support their Eagles to every game, no matter how far they have to drive. So starting a thread just to single out and bash BH fans is not appreciated. Maybe you had differences with a few I havnt seen and I can't speak for them, but for the most of us, we support BH, and are respectful in our posts. Just dont generalize all BH fans as undesirables.
  3. I know its over and done, but, from reports I've heard from viewing the game film, the last play was an illeagle forward lateral by about 3 yards. Shouldnt have come down to the ref's blowing a crucial call. Way too many missed tackles and missed opportunities. Smiley was definitly improved over last year.
  4. Hard to believe that with 8:00 to go in 3rd qrt. it was 14-14 and BH actually had the momentum to take the lead. The converted 4 down and 20 was a backbreaker and Crosby didnt let up. Nice game Crosby and good luck. Except for the truck with 3 or 4 grown men in it that drove by on BH's side talking crap to some of the parents as they were leaving. Talked it while driving away of course. They wouldnt get out and visit. I for one thought they were a little to old for that. haha. Big mouths, little ummm fortitude, yeah thats it. Anyway to all the GOOD fans in Crosby.... good game and good luck.
  5. So anyway....... BH 35 - Forrest Brook 7
  6. I hear BH's kicker has been hitting them from 50+ yards in practice. Thats something we havnt seen in the recent past. Offensive line is getting better. No Sexton isnt the whole defensive team, but it was sure obvious that something was missing in those scrimmages.
  7. What kept BH in the game was athletisism, what cost them the game was a bad offensive play call. Granted BH may not have fared much better against the eventual 4A state champs, we'll never know. but dont try and convince us that BH was out played the whole game and a great athletic play Central made let them coast to the win. If BH keeps running the ball, Central is sitting at home the second round.
  8. What would that do to you?
  9. We've had this discussion before on here. BH is only returning 5 "starters" but there are about 15 kids that played on varsity and got good playing time. Its not like theres 5 kids left over from the whole team last year. I think its a misconception that BH doesnt have experience. I may be wrong, but I think BH will raise some brows with the their success. Alot of names will be new or unfamiliar, but I personally think they will be ok.
  10. BH workouts are going pretty good. Got some good size and speed. Cant wait to see some pads on.
  11. Dont make it sound like BH is only going to do well because the other teams in the district arnt SLC but they are going to be better than alot of people expect.
  12. Any BH news out there?
  13. I always attended my sons practices whenever I had the chance. But I rarely spoke to the coaches. If the coaches do their jobs and not let parents or boosters influence them on who is truly the most talented players then they will field the best team possible. But as we ALL know.... small town politics seems to always be lying just under the radar of being obvious. Really nothing you can do about that sort of thing is there? If you stir up the issue, then your kid gets shelved even farther back. Yes it is annoying and I want to think that most of the time these parents just end up being frustrated for years, but I'm sure there are times that their parent level politicing pays off.
  14. I counted a week or so ago and I believe it was 11 or 12 players that started or got significant varsity playing time last year will be returning. 2 of those, LB-Sexton and SS/RB Little are entering their 3rd year on Varsity. and the rest are 2nd year. I didnt see the JV play much last year so I can only go by what I'm told on the kids moving up. I hear that there is more size in the O Linemen that will fill some spots. QB Carmona did well in 7 on 7 i hear and I'm speculating he will start at that position unless the coaches feel Bradshaws experience will better suit the team. Only time will tell I guess, but I'm certain Coach Price and staff will have them well prepared whomever plays where. Bronco1 is right...BH will compete thats for sure.
  15. A lawsuit of that kind would never hold up I dont think. If a kid has to take roids to be a standout athlete then they must be average at best without them and not worthy of a acholarship. A hard working natural kid would in turn not be cheated from the next level. I'm all for it, but I would like to see how "random" the tests are. I doubt the significant amount of relevant athletes will ever be tested. We'll see.
