Starts today ends Saturday. I got this from Central Heights ISD, teams in tournament are: Crockett Vidor Silsbee Central
Then that would not be Central Heights, that would be the Pollok Central Tournament.
Their web page just calls it "Central Tournament"

 4. Rules are the rules and we all have to live by them, well some of us do anyways...The others, well  :o.... Oversight, maybe, but he has been on the team for 5 months..I wonder how your team would react if the tables were turned..Let me guess "your coach wouldn't say anything"...And to say "the coach should tell his boys that is not the way you earn it" is just stupid!! Guess they should also tell their players do whatever it takes to "WIN" even if you have to cheat, right... Your coach has an obligations to his kids to play by the rules...ALL OF THEM.... Also just because he wasn't the "pitcher" doesn't mean they should have over looked it..
 5. What team and age group did this happen in?

We Texans don't pay a state income tax and some of those funds come from those taxes as well as the casino revenue taxes.  They have Wards set up within the Parishes(counties) that allocate and govern the $$ and amenities. Look at Frasch Park and the nice place they have there as well as the water park.  That water park is a great deal for $4 a day for non City residents. In most all cases, Louisiana spends money on facilities for both the local residents as well as the facilities that generate $$ for the local economy.  Back when Frasch got hit by Rita, they decided to make it a better place and build a softball complex that would allow the high school state tournament to be held all in one place.  They made the proposal, got it and off to the races they went.  Now they have both softball and select baseball over there using the parks and it is a boom to the area.  Nice work if you ask me. Just for the record, we did get re-classed today, lol.  It took some losses but we were in the wrong division from the get go. On another note, can anyone explain why all these coaches are playing kids on the field that are not on the roster?  Either I am naive or this is a bigger problem than people think.  I heard a local team had to forfeit a semifinal game yesterday and another one had maybe 4?? kids play that weren't listed on the roster. What is going on??
Probably an honest mistake. I almost forgot to add the last player I picked up. Had it not been for his dad, I would have. Does anyone know how I can get usssa directors to stop calling me about tournents? I get the e-mails, but don't want the calls?
Haha. You crack me up. Why are you so defensive? I wasn't even talking about Tillery. People from out of town keep calling me about tournaments. My question is, why do they call and send e-mails, and how can I change my usssa team info so they will not call? As for the kid not being on the roster, he has been on their team only,  for the last 5 months. He wasn't some kid they picked up last minute, or decided, hey let's get that kid out of the stands to play.
..When you sign up for a usssa tournament they ask for that information to send updates etc..so PM me your name or teams name and it will be taking care of or you can contact your local Director..

Is he like Tillerys' partner or something, or just the assistant tournament director for usssa in Beaumont?
Yes, me and Cansler have been coaching for the past couple of years together!! The assistant director is a guy by the the name of Collin...where are your trying to go with this!! ???
Just trying to figure out why you guys are dogging nations and bringing Morgan Walker into it, and talking up usssa. It makes sense to me now that I know you guys have ties to Tillery. Also kind of weird that most of you have had a son that has played for the Gladiators in the past. Your post about "two sides to every story, and then there's the truth", makes a whole lot of sense now. You have obviously heard one side, but not the truth.
Let me guess, you know the truth?
I know a lot more than you think. I know why yours and Tillerys' team are suspended by Nations. Should I tell you why, or are there 6 sides to that story?
Tillerys team is suspended because he's a usssa director! Tillery has stated on serveral occasions that Morgan and anyone that plays Nations is more than welcome to come play usssa.. Can't say that about Nations can we... My team, well if its suspended thats the first I've heard about it. But that wouldn't surprise me one bit! It goes to show you who really does it for the kids and who does it to make a quick buck!! Your not hurting the Coaches by suspending their team, your hurting the KIDS.......GOOD JOB NATIONS!!!
You really don't have clue. Your team is suspended from Nations, because your boys got caught handing out usssa flyers at a nations tournament in Houston. Ron Mathis didn't think too kindly of it, and suspended the teams, but im sure you thought Morgan suspended y'all.  Not so fast on the usssa does it for the kids speech. Joey Odom (a usssa Director in LA) sent out e-mails, threatening to suspend anyone who participates in Nations events, umpires, coaches, and KIDS (the ones you say they care about and do it for). Like I said before, I know A LOT more than you think. You can try to persuade these local teams all you want, but the TRUTH will always come out.
Your telling me, Im trying to  persuade local teams..lol :o  your the one who don't have a clue... So you seem to know alot, maybe you can explain this "if you help schedule umpires for them you'll never umpire for us agian, don't play in any usssa tournaments at FP and i will give you money off our tournaments" ALOT of coaches and umpires have said that they received a call from a certain "someone" saying that! So who's trying to persuade who!  As I've already said, I didn't know my team was suspended. Tillery's team, yes I knew about that and no I knew it was Ron who did it...As far as those LA guys, can't help what they do, but I can assure you you'll never get an email from Tillery saying that!!! If its REALLY for the KIDS who cares where they play aslong as they get to play, right? And yes, the TRUTH will always come out. BTW,You know who i am whats your name??
I don't know anything about umpires, or teams receiving discounts. Heck if people are getting discounts I want one too. As I've said before, my team will play both. We are signed up for some usssa tournaments, and nobody from nations said we couldn't play in their tournaments if we played usssa (weird since you claim nations wont allow you to play if you play usssa). If local coaches are telling you these things, how come usssa isn't getting much local support in Beaumont? BTW, I don't know you. Couldn't pick you out of a crowd of 2. Just read your name and put two and two together. Sincerely, Jerome Hanson Jr.
I don't recall saying Nations want let you play if you play usssa.. They "Nations" just don't want you to play usssa..

 18.
All nations games are 1:40 time limit ( finish what you start ) in pool play.  In pool play you don't have to have a winner.  Once bracket play begins then time limit is still 1:40 , but you must have a winner.  Only the championship games are no time limit , unless agreed upon by both teams to set a time limit. Speaking from experience,  using Nations as an example, most of the problems with coaches come from the lower level teams.  Elite or Premier level coaches for the most part are up to date on the rules and workings of a tourney. I work primarily at Nations Tourneys in Humble and some in Spring.  I know for a fact that the majority of the umpires used there are High school level for Houston TASO.  If the umpires used in the tourney this weekend were from Houston I would be willing to bet they are not TASO umpires.
Only 4 where from Houston the others where all local and yes they (Houston) were TASO Umpires
Yeah there were problems with the umpires but that is expected when they do both Nations and USSSA..hopefully they (umpires) will read up on the rules....

Most of the time you wouldn't find out till Thur or Fri if the tourney would fill at all, if it did then you either got to play the same 3 or 4 teams each time or was asked to play up an age bracket. 90% of all teams playing were local teams only. If you wanted to play other teams you had to got to Htown or LA to get that. USSSA 1st tourney has 68 teams signed up with less than a dozen being local. if you local teams want that to continue then I would suggest you start signing up for their tourneys and supporting an org that is trying to bring better teams to our park to play. Had Morgan been as proactive the past 5 years as he is this year, then this situation wouldn't have ever happened. Now to clear up a few comments; The guy complaining about the director having a team, the Gladiators run the nations tourneys locally and have a team for every age bracket playing in all their tourneys..get  a clue. Renegades you chose to play up an age bracket at Nations instead of playing against teams in your own age bracket..please explaing to me how that is better for your players and what were the results from it? As for how the tourney went this weekend, it was unfortunate about the weather on Sat but they did a great job of being fair to all teams. Sunday ended up being a great day to play, and I think most teams enjoyed themselves and will hopefully come back. Ford park is one of the best facilities around, I would prefer to play most of my games here against better teams. I hope you will support it so they can continue to build on what just started.
Yeah I chose too after I was called on a week before about it. My team was 11u Elite at the time of that tournament now we are select(NATIONS). My team in USSSA is also AA and my kids are far from ready to play major and AAA teams, that why I pulled out of the tourney. You want to talk about results, yeah we got smashed 10-0,8-4 but I did it with LITTLE LEAGUE TALENT Kids playing against 12u SELECT kids. Im not talking down on anyone, We are new to the area and we all know it takes time for the kids to gel together. I have revamped my team since that tournament and added more pitching and Bigger bats so hopefully we are blessed that those outcomes will be different when we play up if we have too. I was told it would be hard to make a competitive team since ALL the talent was taken already, I just hope we dont catch anyone ASLEEP!
TX_RENEGADES, Don't you also go by... "StrikeOut" on here?????? :o

This "situtation" happened because of a disgruntled ex gladiator parent. As for the director having teams in his tournament, the difference is he is not coaching any of them.
I beg to differ....just rememeber theres two sides to every story...and then theres the TRUTH.. but thats not the truth behind this "situtation"...
Oh. So he would've went to usssa and asked to become a director, had he still been with Gladiators? Doesn't make much sense to me. The problem is people are gonna be divided because of the situation. Me personally, my team will play both Nations and Usssa. Both have flaws, and some people have bad experiences with each. At the end of the day the kids get to play baseball, and that's all that matters. As for playing up, I personally don't have a problem with it. In the end, it should only make your team better.
AMEN!!
