1. Not sure if he will ever step foot on campus after HS. Draft in June of 2014, projected to be a 1st rounder, school doesn't start til the end of August.  Either way, I think this kid has a bright future ahead of him.  Getting paid to play a game or getting a free education to play a game.  Either way he wins.  Good Luck to what is a special talent.
 2. Gotta be an opening first geneous!!!! As far as we all know, Coach Washington is still there.  Wash is a good football coach and a great human being.  He will return the Jags to success soon.
 3. This is a good preseason synopsis of this district.  I have to agree with eagles on these predictions.  IMO, Woodville and Warren will share a district championship and will play each other in a 1 gamer at the end of the season for seeding purposes, too much returning for Warren and Woodville always has baseball players coming through the pipeline.  Hemphill will go 6-4 and gain the 3rd seed, they may have the best all around baseball player in the setx area.  Kirbyville is dropping from a tough 3a district a year ago.  They have 7 to 8 returning starters and while they are young, they gained valuable experience last year I see them going 5-5 in district.  Corrigan has traditionally been good and I'm not real sure about them other than what I have heard through others, but I think they will probably go 3-7.  Newton is always a tough game and they will be improved but I think this district is too much for them.
 4. So is Twine transferring/transferred or not? I know that he was hurt the majority of the year in football....Will probably go to state in track....and well, we all know about baseball....Probably a top 10 draft choice in June 2014....

You're an idiot. Dawson was shutout for 3 qtrs... That's not luck you bonehead.
Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.......if that's what you want to believe. It was obvious who was the better ALL AROUND TEAM last night..... You can't have the undiscipline play and the amount of penalties and expect to win....luck had nothing to do w it It was LUCK!
I guess Dawson was lucky in the previous 12 games then. How else do you explain their record?
Dawson has TALENT! Nederland had LUCK last night
Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good.......if that's what you want to believe. It was obvious who was the better ALL AROUND TEAM last night..... 6. In no particular order.... Nederland LCM PNG Livingston Ozen will upset one of the big dogs to make things interesting, Lumberton will be better and push for a spot, Vidor will remain in the hunt and has the talent to get the 4th spot but will have a let down somewhere that will cost them. Good luck to all of the teams this coming year.
 7.
Kirbyville will win out Anahuac will lose to E Chambers Woodville will lose to Newton three way tie  --  Kirbyville is plus 8 -- Woodville is plus 2 --  Anahuac is minus 11. thats my story and I'm sticking to it.
You are right on accounts except the points....21 is the cap...Kville is a +5, Woodville is at 0 and Anahuac is at -5...
 8. They don't! IF anahuac and woodville finish 1-1 and kville finishes 2-0 they will all be tied at 4-3 right?  That scenario puts kville in as the 3rd place team based on the tie breaker.  If kville finishes tied w woodville only they are in based on head to head. If kville finishes tied w anahuac only the panthers are in based on head. If woodville and anahuac finished tied, woodville would be in...... My prediction.... Newton (7-0), EC (6-1) and Kville (4-3) will be the 10-2A reps.... Still a long way to go though. Next week will make the picture a little clearer.
 9.
He is at Panola this year , I got this information first hand, I know bubba very well being he is my son. lol
congrats to him! Great kid!
 10. If kville wins out, both anahuac and woodville lose 1 more time, they are in. Whizdiz is right in a 3 way tie kville holds the tie breaker. Point cap is 21.  Woodville and anahuac both still have to play newton or ec.  As far as the 4th and short, too many factors came into play. The wind was a major factor. played a part in field position all night. In my opinion, if you punt there you probably get the same result. Plus that was the only time woodville stopped the cats all night. Had a good play call, woodville just made a play and got a very favorable spot. Up by 1 with 7 minutes left to go in the game, the cats knew what they had to do to get the points in their favor and stepped on the gas.  Great game plan and the deuce (#2 Haywood) was loose. Take it one game at a time. Kville playoffs started last night.
 11. If Kirbyville wins out they will be in. They now hold the tiebreaker between them woodville and anahuac if it comes down to a 3 way tie. Take it one at a time.

Im tired of folks that dont have a clue and get on this site posting junk about there's no talent in Kville. Oh as far as me being an "idiot"...that's your opinion dude. I'm smarter than you will ever know 8)
I can handle it. It's part of the job.  Coach Neece is a very good head coach.  He is building something that isn't perfected overnight.  When you graduate a load of talent, it takes a few years to get your system in place.  Give it time.  He has great assistant coaches around him.  As far as you being "smart" guess that is your opinion...didn't sound real smart last night when you were yelling your idiotic opinions from the stands...

I hate the fact Red Haywod haven't played all season long and its hurting us as far as the running game concern. In my opinion they missing Jack Alvarez too...smh
Now your gonna make me do it, aren't you. Coach Neece had a very good game plan that attacked Newton with multiple sets with a good mix of running the ball and passing. The Kirbyville defense played tough with great reads and stayed at home. Once again your showing you have no idea what went on on the field.
Coach Neece is NOT a good head coach...he's inconsistent. Yes he came up with a decent plan for YALL but again.....
You have absolutely no clue do you.....Just shows your ignorance and lack of maturity....You were probably one of the 2 loud and obnoxious overweight men in the stands who felt the need to scream their displeasure with everything that went on last night.  Why don't you go to school, get an education, get a teaching degree and apply for a head coaching job then you will get to make all the decisions.  No one comes to your job and throws rocks at you while you are mowing lawns!!!! There is more to it brotha!!!! The things that Coach Neece and all of the coaches have to deal with on a day to day basis goes way beyond the realm of football or any game for that matter.  Again, to quote someone from an earlier post, I'm not going to get into a battle of wits with you because its obvious that you are at a disadvantage.
Then why Jasper switch 20 Coaches within a 4 year span?? Sit down....BROTHA!!!
What does Jasper have to do with Kirbyville?  Nothing.... I called you out and you have no other response....Go back to doing whatever it is you do and let the men who are around those kids each and every day do their job.  I'm glad not all the people in Kirbyville are as big of an idiot as you.

 15.
Washington had big shoes to step into. Kville I believe has something to build own with the players you mentioned, that being said they have some tough games coming up in district.
Whose shoes did he have to fill?  Compared to last year it's a major upgrade.  If you are referring to previous years, then yes I agree.  I think killed is headed in the right direction.  This week will be tough.  Jasper is much improved with Coach Barbay at the helm, however the kats play jasper tough.  It will be a good game.  Final tuneup before district starts in 2 weeks.  All the district games will be tough and whoever stays healthy will grab the 3 spots. Good luck Kats!!!!!
 16. First of all I have no idea what you all have been seeing this first week. The defense is nowhere near a 7 diamond.  Secondly, no one is starting.  Only 2 days in pads, evaluations are still going on.  Some body needs to just shut up and play!!!!!!!!
 17. Good ole UIL.....Do they REALLY have a clue?
 18.
No one is going to mention Caleb Ceasar "the crowd pleaser"?
I was wondering the same thing myself. Oh if it wasn't for his knee injuries, where would he be today.  On the other side of C squared was Brandon Rideaux.
 19.
Dylan Williams moved to warren i think
Did he move into the district?
 20. Seeing as it's a 5 team district with Kountze, EC, Hardin, Deweyville, and Anahuac I would say that Kountze and Hardin will probably be in and then just depends on how the schedule falls when you have to face Howell from Deweyville.  EC will probably be the 3rd team
 21. Heard Kevin Lane will be the new head man at West Sabine.  Congratulations to Kevin.
 22. Kelly will do a great job. This was my first year to get to know him having coached in the same district.  He has a different approach to handling kids, kind of matter of fact and straight to the point, but his baseball knowledge is second to none.  He took a group of kids at Huntington and had them in the playoff hunt the entire district race.  You all want to talk about who was or wasn't selected, but if they didn't apply then they couldn't have been selected.  Some of you have no clue as to what goes on in the selection process of hiring a coach, you have to deal with teaching fields and certifications among other things.  Just let Kelly do his job.  Jasper will continue to be successful in the future.
 23. Totally new defensive scheme.  One that is very simple but will utilize the skills of the athletes that will be on the defensive side of the ball.  The excitement is back in K-ville.  Brand new year, kids returning that have had a rough schedule under there belt from last year, along with a playoff appearance.  Plus as the year went on you could see the development in the younger kids.  Coach Neece and staff will have them ready to play come August 30th at Lamar.  They will then steadily improve and be ready to make a run in district.  EC and Newton will be the cream of the crop in the district.  Hopefully, Kville can win the rest and claim 1 of the 3 playoff spots.
 24. You can't go off of a record. You can be the smartest cookie in the jar as far as X's and O's go, but if you don't have the players to go with it, it's useless.....Look at it this way, anything will be an upgrade over last year on the defensive side.
