Congrats to Cody....He will make a good head coach...he'll have those pitchers going that's for sure....

I talked to the Rogers coach yesterday who is one of the South coaches for the 1-3A game and he had just come in from practice, he was very impressed with both Dishon and Calhoun...he repeated the sentiments of 21-3A being the toughest in the state...Good Luck to both of these gentelmen as they represent our district and good luck to all of our SE Texas representatives...

There are 2 different all state teams...the one that is picked by the THSBCA and the one that is picked by the sportswriters...the all star team and all state team are nominated by the coaches picked by the THSBCA officers...yes the all star team has been picked and is out, the all state team was picked at the state tournament and will be out soon....The all state team that is picked by the sportswriters, while they are often similar, has nothing to do with the THSBCA...

The THSBCA officers met at the state tournament to pick the all state team...one thing is for sure, if a player was selected to play in the all star game then they are on the all state list, so from district 21-3A we know for sure that Dishon and Calhoun were both all state selections. Try the THSBCA website, they usually have this information.

I don't have the full team with me, but I'll do my best to try to piece it together..... MVP-Reagan (Jasper) Newcomer-Statum (OF) Co-Defensive MVP-Hicks (BC); Hargrave (Silsbee) 1st team catcher-Felts (OF); Jackson (BC) That's what I can remember...don't want to say unless I'm sure...these are the only ones I'm sure of....

It's still the HC who's name is mentioned win or lose....

What happened on this play? Later on in the game it looked like the same thing happened and the BC player was allowed to stay at first....what did the umps rule on Bronson that was different later in the ball game?

Here's something to think about....3-2 2 outs bases loaded and the Jasper pitcher was in his windup..The play was close at third anyway, if he's in his stretch the runners don't get as big of a jump and the runner is out at third...would the outcome of the game had been any different? who knows..like I said, just something to think about

After WH, he went to HJ and coached runningbacks and was the head track coach, this past year he was a varsity asst. coach at Warren...Great guy will be a good AD, he cares about kids and wants the entire athletic program to be successful...
