  1. That keeps the coach anonymous.
  2. That's funny right there. I noticed you left your name off of the list.
  3. Now we have agreed on something. Good post.
  4. I would take that bet. Not being ugly against BC, it just seems like something happens between Jr. high and high school football. I'm not saying BC won't win any but keep a running tally of wins once they hit high school. If nothing else it will give us something to do. Congratulations to BC 8th grade and WOS 7th grade for winning their district championship.
  5. I agree with most of what you said. How would Dean Fuller know about the housing in the WOS school district is? If youi meant in the city of West Orange then I understand.
  6. The kids do deserve it but the "people" didn't do their part and get out and vote. So what the kids deserve is for adults to show them that you should get out and vote. Take responsibility for doing things for yourself and pay for it yourselves. Don't sit around moaning and waiting for someone else to do it for you. That's what the kids deserve. They deserve to learn that lesson.
  7. I agree with that but they don't owe us or WOS anything.
  8. I agree with some of what you are saying. Not to mention there would be saving in the upkeep of the natural grass. However, you should have been promoting before what you are promoting now. The "powers that be" as you say are not the ones that shot it down. We need to face the facts and the fact is that enough of us did not get out and vote for the turf.
  9. Individuals bought the scoreboard, not a plant. How are we not being treated equally or fairly?
  10. Maybe so but what about the fact that we had the opportunity to do it ourselves and we voted not to. We could have paid for it ourselves and we voted not to. For the record I voted for both. But as a whole we didn't have enough people voting and that is our fault as a community.
  11. Again that is opinion which you re entitled to and not fact. Also it couldn't have been presented in front of the same people because of where they live. Thanks for voting. You have earned your right to complain. For those that didn't vote your opinion doesn't matter to me.
  12. You are right I don't have to like what you say and you don't have to like what I say. I have yet to see where you have stated a fact.
  13. If you are talking about me it's because I'm a WOS alumni and my kids go to school at WOS. Why in the world do you think the plant workers owe us turf. We just had an opportunity to get it and pay for it ourselves but we didn't want to do that. We want someone to "give" it to us. I really hope you are young and haven't figured out that nothing in life is free. When you get something and you earn it or you pay for it yourself the reward is much greater. Stop sitting around and looking for a handout.
  14. I can't believe everyone is pissin and moaning about what other people get. We need to stop waiting on someone to do things for us and take responsibility for our selves. We had the perfect chance to do that and we didn't go vote for it. What have you donated? Man, lets stop whining. It didn't pass.
  15. What is your point. It was donated by people that live in LCM school district. What difference does it make that they have a business in Orange? We had our chance to get the turf and we didn't do it. People, white or black didn't get out and vote for it.
  16. You are so far off base. The people that donated the scoreboard at LCM either have or had kids that go to school there. Which means that's where they live and they couldn't vote yes or no to our turf. You are making up your own statistics and trying to use them as facts. You can do that but that doesn't make what you are saying the truth. Just because you have a business in Orange doesn't mean you get to vote here. You vote depends on where you live and those people live in LCM district. That's why they didn't donate it to WOS. So again it's not a racial issue. Get out and vote. So you have given no proof of anything but your opinion. It's still not a racial issue. Not everything has to be about race.
  17. I think what he meant was they weren't going to sneak it in. I don't think it would be legal for them to spend the money on the football field now. Agree or disagree, the people have spoken and they do not want to pay for turf on the field. They shouldn't spend the money from prop 1 on the turf. Prop 1 was voted in as it was presented. Unfortunately prop 2 didn't pass.
  18. That doesn't make any sense. Why would you say that? Do you think this was voted down because we are more than 50% black? If that's what you think then you really don't know the same white people I know and I know you don't know the kind of person I am. Again, if what you said was true and it's not (imo) then all the black population had to do was get out and vote.
  19. ""The Super. was on KOGT this morning already saying it wasn't enough money to do what he wanted to do and they were going to be short on completing some of the items on the list" - I did not hear that broadcast so I can't speak specifically to that, but I can assure you that somewhere along the line there was a failure to communicate. So in an effort to remedy that failure, here are the facts of the situation. Harry Barclay WOCCISD Board President
  20. I disagree with that completely. If that were the case then why wouldn't those people just move to LCM? We are more black than white. Which means if your post were true then the black people should have gotten out and voted in Prop.2. To me this is not a racial issue at all.
  21. I think more people would watch halftime if it were more like that. Good job by both schools.
  22. $5 a win will get us a little closer.
  23. I can't say that I agree with everything that's been done in the last several years but I can say that we are in a much better financial position than we were before he got here. In alot of ways he has put us on the right path. That being said, it makes me wonder how much more it will cost us to bus the kids to and from school when we move to MLK. Gas is $3 a gallon. It seems like for what we paid for the land we could have torn down one of the existing schools and rebuilt in a closer location to where the majority of kids live. We vote them in all we can do is hope they are getting all of the information needed to make good decisions. It would really helpl if we didn't have to send our Robin Hood money off. I think that's about 8 million a year.
