  1. WOS has 3 on 3 the first day of pads. If you've never seen it you should go and watch. That's something that will get anyone fired up for football season.
  2. You could get C today. I'm not so sure J will go. However, he does want to go during the spring just not the fall.
  3. You remember. They said "I'm trying to hide my Bear pride". I'm sure one day that day will get here but until it does I'll stick with my blue and silver.
  4. I might be. Would you like for me to get you one? It would look better than that camouflage one yall wear. Is that supposed to be so you can hide. That way no one can see where you're from!
  5. I haven't seen any yet but you can bet it won't be long.
  6. Is this the same Tracy Franklin that played baseball in Buna and then at Panola Jr. College?
  7. Who do you think should have been responsible?
  8. He has to be ultimately responsible. If not him directly then he has to put someone in a position to be responsible. Put up baracades and make everyone come in the gate where the stands are. It really isn't that hard. If he owns the team or coaches the team it would seem that this would be a simple problem to solve. He must have some problem solving skills. Are you saying he is only responsible for the people that are fans of his team?
  9. “How are we responsible,†Pierce asked. “We had security here. I can’t pat down everybody. So I called LC-M and they said the name Demons did not fit their Christian community. Orange had a good thing and now we have to move it already.†I can understand that LC-M may not want the Demons at their facilities, perhaps for the same reasons WO-S doesn't---drinking, trash, etc. However, to say the name "Demons" doesn't fit with their Christian community is a little farfetched. LC-M is a public school as is WO-S. I wonder if the Wahington Redskins would be able to play there and how in the world do they allow the PN-G Indians there. I think they should change their name to the PN-G Native Americans and until they do they shouldn't be allowed to play at LC-M. I'm just having a little fun this morning so no one get their blood pressure up. It's Friday, have a great day!
  10. I agree. It appears that he takes no responsibility for anything. He says he can't control the trash or control all of the people that come in the gate. It wouldn't take long to make people open a bag to check it. Thanks Coach Hooks for making someone take responsibility.
  11. Orange has a zero tolerance plicy. If you put your hands on someone else, (push, shove or hit) you are banned from the board and from coaching for life. You can still come to the park and be a parent but if there is any other incident you will be banned from the park. I think PONY has a zero tolerance on this also. If I'm not mistaken they will step in. They go by their "Blue Book" and I think it will say one or both of these people will be banned for life. As I understand it, it will depend on if one was just defending off an attack or was it a full out fight. Time will tell but I bet PONY steps in.
  12. Have you ever heard of the saying, "If you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all?"
  13. When fall ball gets started it will be good to face different kids. I like the idea. I'll call you when we get started.
  14. Thank you. That's too bad. It happens every where kids play sports.
  15. You still haven't said what happened. How did the parent get involved?
  16. Things like that rarely have anything to do with the kids. Is the DQ their first loss? Hopefully they can play the rest of the tournamnet out on the field. Good luck.
  17. Congratulations to Orange's 14U all-star team for winning the tournament in Bridge City. They move on to play at the Field of Dreams in League City starting this Friday. You can see their picture on www.kogt.com Good luck boys.
  18. Is that all of the information we're going to get? Did they win? Did whatever the incident was prevent them from moving on?
  19. That's right and this year we get to move to peewee tackle. Should be much safer than flag. Let's go get a Super Bowl Mustangs.
  20. Great job boys. I can't wait until fall ball when we start pitching. Seems like I've been waiting for this time since mine were born. I hope they enjoy it as much as I did. If not then there are plenty of other positions to play.
  21. Sounds like Vidor does it like OYBS and STJFL football. Get all of the games in by hunting season. By then the kids are ready to head to the woods and so are the dad's.
  22. Orange got beat twice last night and that puts us out. We played pretty good but still not where we were. The compitition here is unbelievable. We lost to a team that wasn't better than us but they were every bit as good as we are. I think it was 11-6 the first game and then 10-9 in the second game. It was 9-9 going into the 6th and we hit a couple of balls right at them and went 3 up and 3 down. Then I think they put a couple of hits together with 2 outs in the 6th to score the winning run. We were very evenly matched and they deserved to move on just as much as we did. I hope they win it all. They were a team that played hard and won and lost with class just as we did. I'm very proud of the boys they have worked hard. It's hard to watch how upset they were when it's all over. On a happier note we have football practice July 30th so yall watch out the Little Mustangs will be coming for yall. Not to mention we sign up for fall baseball the first part of August. Thanks to all of the Orange parents and supporters for getting these kids to me every day for the last 7-8 weeks. Also Chad Broussard, Dave Pederson and Kent Miller these guys haven't gotten near enough credit for the job they've done with these kids. Thanks to everyone for all of the positive comments about the Orange boys, they deserved every one of them and then some. I'll see yall soon on the football field the diamond or the basketball court. You'll know me because I'll be the one teaching the kids the game, teaching them to have fun and teaching them to win. Tony Dallas
  23. When I called Scott's phone last night a female told me they lost. It was loud where I was and I couldn't hear very good. I saw the first inning and they were looking good. If they won or lost, getting here was a huge accomplishment. In our coaches meeting the directors were telling us how proud our kids should be just to get this far. They said there are about 600-700 Shetland and the same number of Pinto teams that are eligible to make it here. To be one of the top 16 teams in the state is a great accomplishment. Each kid will have a state medal to remember this experience. If anyone gets a chance to make this trip, I hope you take full advantage of it and get the whole experience. This is a nice facility and the people are truley here for the kids.
  24. Orange won tonight 16-12. We still didn't play up to our potential but we did play much better. We play again tomorrow at 6:30. I think Vidor shetland lost. Hopefully someone will update us on the facts of Vidors game.
  25. Orange didn't play very good last night but like I told the boys. Good teams have to find a way to win when they aren't playing their best. We play a team from Edgewood today at 5. Hopefully we can get things back on track. Unfortunately Vidor lost last night. They didn't play very good last night either. I think nerves probably got to both of us. At least thats what I hope it was and it should be over now. Hopefully we will both play like we know how to today. Tony Dallas
