I broadcast 3 of their games this year and attended another. I was given rosters each game with the starters marked on them. I checked them at the start of each game. According to those games I did, the facts I have stated are correct. According to the all-district lists, it matches the rosters and starters I have. Kerry, you cannot convince me that WOS has more than 10-12 starters returning based on these numbers. Sure can't convince me of that "90% returning" statement you made on that game thread of BR.
Can't believe I'm saying this but I agree. If anything we have that many kids returning that played. Cannot be starters if we had that many Sr. make all district. It just isn't possible. We may have that many returning just not necessarily starters. Did I just agree with AAW? lol -
The boys had a great run. Played until the clock hit 00 00. Never gave up. Big ups to Coach Domino. You have done a great job with these boys. You've taught them more than just football but many life lesson. I know my boys are better kids for having played for you. You are exactly what a coach should be. As a Dad I just want to say thanks for everything you have done not only to teach me football but the football and life lessons that my boys learn. I would also like to thank Coach Mavis, Kent, Dave P., Dave B., and Miguel. What a great group of men for my boys to learn from. I would be remiss if I left out our team mom Mrs. Jessica. thanks for all of the hard work on a great season. There were many other behind the scenes parents and family members that it took to make this run. Over the last 3 weekends we have traveled about 2400-2500 miles. It has been alot of fun. Last but not least I want to thank each and every one of the boys that are responsible for this run. They are the ones that put in the time to make this run that I was allowed to be part of. Thanks boys. You are a special group of kids. Thanks for great memories.
Hate? I have helped to coach several of those guys in baseball, and I truly wish them nothing but the best. It's funny that you think that, but whatever floats your boat. I have no reason to wish anything but the best for your team. Jealous? Again, I don't know how you read that into a post about poor grammar, but okay. I'm very proud of my boys, and we had an outstanding year. Nothing to be jealous over. Just because I find the article poorly written, that makes me a negative person? Anyway, i'm a pretty easy going guy, and not that hard to figure out. Why so defensive? Tim Bean
Sorry Chester. I think your words were misunderstood. We know how you feel about the boys on this team. Thanks for the support.
[Hidden Content] Best of luck on your way to San Antonio, but who wrote this article, a sixth grader? I would think KFDM employs someone to edit artilcles before they post them to the internet.
We have already contacted them and asked them to make changes to the article or allow us to make the changes. They are the ones who wrote the article. When we read it last night this is the response we were afraid we would get. I wish we had been able to write it ourselves. We do appreciate the publicity though. 98 I don't think he is hating the Longhorns just being honest about the grammar, punctuation and capitalization in the article. He's not wrong in what he said and since we didn't write it then it isn't negative towards the Longhorns. Thanks to all of our supporters. If you wish to help in any way there are articles about the Orange Longhorns on this site as well as kfdm.com and kogt.com

They are a good group of kids and deserving at this shot to go to Disney to the Super Bowl! I do hope that the kind and generous folks on this board read your post and respond generously. I'm in for $100 and challenge all the SETexas sports fans to help too. Good luck this weekend in San Antonio!
I agree. I also support the Longhorns, and I'm in for 100 also. I will make the necessary contact to give my contribution. Let's go Longhorn's.. P.S. I believe this message should have it's on thread, imo.
OK it now has it's own thread. If you and shovelhead will please send me an email it will be easier for me to keep up with the people that are pledging. Thanks for all of your support.

Thanks in advance for those that choose to help. By making us stay on Disney property the cost is unbelievable. We will be there for a week and be in the top 4 in the Nation in Pop Warner. We still have to win in San Antonio this weekend to make it but we have to prepare now. The cost is about $20,000 for the week. Anything can happen but it's a great opportunity for these boys to play for a National Championship. The Orange Longhorns travelled to McAllen, TX this past Saturday to compete in the Pop Warner Semi-Finals. They walked away with a 37-8 victory over the South Texas Cardinals (Corpus Christie) to complete another step in their trek to the Pop Warner National Championship in Orlando, Florida. They face College Station Raiders this Saturday in San Antonio in the Southwest Regional Championship. The team of 10-12 year olds is coached by Damion "Domino" Henson, Mavis Williams, Tony Dallas, Dave Pederson, Marcus Turner, Kent Miller, Miguel Gobert and David Bright. The team wishes to thank the following sponsors for their continued support: Orange Savings Bank, The Salvation Army, BASF, SABINA, Granger Chevrolet Sales Team, DuPont, Dennis Huntley- Farmers Insurance Group, Bobby and Susan Swan and Tony Dallas Insurance Agency. There are only two things holding the Longhorns back from attending the Championship week in Orlando, where they will face teams from cross the nation-- 1) A win this weekend in San Antonio and 2) money! The team has held numerous fundraisers- concession stands, IPAD raffle, t-shirt sales, business and parent donations, etc. However, the majority of this money has been used for field usage, referees and travel to various locations in Texas. The kids are doing their part by playing hard on the field and in the classroom, now they are asking for your support in sending them to Orlando. They are asking for a pledge donation. Money is only collected upon the team qualifying to attend the Pop Warner Super Bowl in Florida. If you would like more information on becoming a pledge, please email or and put in the subject line: "I Want to Pledge" and you will be contacted by a Longhorn volunteer. Or, you may donate directly to the account at ORANGE SAVINGS BANK, Account number 1342906. Pop Warner is a non-profit organization. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these kids, please support the Longhorns!

I mean maybe they are ready to skip the rest of their youth years and go straight to Highschool. Or maybe you could quit bragging on your kids and let them enjoy playing sports without all the smack talk. A good team or athlete never has to say a word their actions speak loud enough. Just my Opinion though.
Your post is wack, Please don't play the better than thou act. We have been on here having a good time dude, no one takes this seriously. You can ask anyone that knows me and they will tell you that I love my kids and that I respect every team that we play, I love coaching these kids for they really are the future high school players. I have been joking with these guys on here for a week, then you jump and say it's only me come on dude its like 5 pages long. We have fun on here and that's the end of it, if you don't like smack talk and having a good time then I apologize. I will end it here before someone says WOS IS MEAN!! I hope that you don't watch ESPN, they do the same thing week after week its all in fun. So sorry guys and gals well see you later, don't wanna make someone cry!! "My bad that's what diamond dawg said, but you didn't post about that did you!!!"
NO worries Ice. That is the first post made by that person. Usually means someone changed their name in order to say something they didn't have the ...... to say in person. Good luck if yall play. I had the same thing done to me last year on a baseball thread. The guy was supposed to be a "friend or acquaintance" of mine too. In the end when people are able to hide behind screen names it gives them the ability to say whatever they want to say without consiquence. -
Not sure what Coop's answer will be but I will tell you he is the best back that has played against WOS with the kid from Kville being a very close second. That being said he may have played the game of his life but I'm not sure I've seen a RB do what he did to a WOS defense.
Close call on the RB's. May have to give the edge to Ford. WO-S killed themselves against BR with Turnovers. The BR Running Back had a short field to run a few times because of the Turnovers.
223 yards isn't all short fields. The guy broke away and if JT hadn't dove for him he would have been long gone. I'm just giving the kid props where he earned them. He can't control WOS killing themselves now can he. All he could do was run against whatever we put out there and he ran for 223 yards. Anyone remember the last time a back has ran for that many yards against WOS defense? I'm not saying it hasn't happened just that watching the kid run was impressive. Just as watching Ford run is impressive. Our kids don't get run over too often. -
Congrats to WOS on a tough season filled tragedy and triumph. Tough loss, but the young men that wore the silver and blue, you guys grew up alot this football season and it will make you stronger as you go through the toughest game of all...LIFE!!!! The city of Orange should be proud.
I agree the city of Orange should be proud. However all I hear are excuses from some of our fans. The better team won tonight. Give credit where credit is due. Coop, how about a congrats to the coaches and the boys instead of yet another "wait till next year". The kids played hard not as smart as usual and that cost us. Congrats to both teams. Good luck to all teams left playing. Thanks to the Kville fans for all of the compliments to our boys. It was a tough season and they made it through. Very classy from Kville. Good luck to the Wildcats from your new fan. -
I agree. We can get on here and have fun and talk a little smack but when it comes down to it the people in this area can pull together like no other that I've seen. Good luck to all of the teams that are left. Especially the Pop Warner Orange T Longhorns. 2 more wins and we get a trip to Orlando. One game at a time though. We may be the only youth football team still playing in this area. Come see us in McAllen this weekend ;D Thanks for a great site for adults to be kids on. td

If yall do this, good luck and safety to both teams. -

I know "TD" would be able to tell you what you guys could do to help out. just an idea..
Great idea. If this happens and anyone is interested let me know. -
Again we should not reply to anything from STJFL or Lonestar. We have proven ourselves to both of them and we have a mission that doesn't involve either of them. Simply congratulate both on the Championships that they won. Both Champions should be proud of what they have acomplished this year. Congrats to all Superbowl Champs in STJFL and Lonestar.
I was trying to give WOS a compliment........meaning I was not sure a senior team could beat them. The superbowl is over, we lost......BUT we got there, only losing to WOS. I'd say we had a pretty good year. ;)
Sounds like yall did have a good season. Losing to WOS Jr. team is no reason to hang your head. They are very talented and don't lose too many games. As for all of this other non sense about anyone running that's just a pot stirer. Congratulations to all that enjoyed the season. Seams there are still a couple of teams playing. Good luck and make memories that are never forgotten.
Let's do the math. Lamar (Prov-Hump) Ticket into the game $7 Parking $5 Or a mile walk (round trip) if your cheap. The "Butch" Ticket into the game $7 Parking "Free" That's an extra boudin or nachos and a drink for the Kids. Plus the closet seats to the field in the area on the first level. And the chance to holla words of encourgement to my son. (Priceless) See ya Friday at the "Butch" How bout them Jags !!!!! Oh almost forgot to mention the best tailgating facility in the area And just think what the "Butch" will have to offer after the "Waldrof Astoria at the "Butch" is opened. Probally will be $10 for parking then. So enjoy it now.
Mustangs just played there Friday and there wasn't a fee to park, it was free. Not only that bought tickets from the high school and saved $2 per ticket.

We will be playing in Hidalgo TX this Saturday at 7 pm against the South Padre Cardinals. For those of yall with nothing to do drive on down and watch a little youth football ;D.
Mark this down Coop.... ;D WOS should win this game but I wouldn't be surprised to see an upset in this one. Should be one heck of a game. BR is that sleeper that made a deep run last yr and could again this yr.
What part should we mark down? The part where you say the Mustangs should win or the part where you say they might get upset. What is the prediction? Mine pick is the Mustangs but it's a homer pick because all I know about BR is they have a running back that is a beast. -
This happened last year to my son. It was an honest mistake and me and my family just laugh about it. His name is Chad Dallas and they called him Chad Davis through the whole game. They made an honest mistake and the fact remains that we know what his name is even if they got it wrong. You guys do a good job and we appreciated even having a chance to have a DVD. We are in Pop Warner this year and don't have the chance to have one.
