I agree. Clock runner didn't decide anything.
You're right, it was the turnovers inside our own 30, but we would've had the ball at their 30 with enough time for 3 more plays, since the punt return took exactly 8 secs.  I'd say it helped alot...
Contributed maybe. Should have never been in this position though.

Just sayin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When it all boils down, the kids are all that matter in this league. They are our children, sons and daughters "cheerleaders of course" and we all want the best for them. I love all of these kids and I would like to say thanks to all participants who either helped coach a team or assisted this league in any form or fashion. We are making a difference in theses kids future so Great season to everyone and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!
Good post. I agree
I agree. If the kids aren't disciplined then they won't listen to the coaches and it really doesn't matter what the game plan is at that point.

[img][Hidden Content]]
Homer pick but I'm going with WOS. That being said I only know what one team has. Good luck Mustangs.
TD.....There is a reason WOS is the #1 seed in the superbowl. They are very good. There is also a reason Lumberton Red is there with them. The boys have been working hard. Hopefully it's a close, injury free game......with red by 2 TD's  ;D
If that happens then Red earned it. I just cant see WOS giving up that many points and that means that you would have to shut them out. Not likely to happen but I don't know much about Red. I hope it's a good game, injury free and WOS by 1 or 100 still a win baby.

Not many 8th grade teams out there running a true spread offense and the no huddle to boot! :o
There is a group of 6th graders running the spread and no huddle. Coach might want to hang on a couple more years. Not only that they are kicking extra points. Not making all of them of course but the boys are on the right Mustang track.
TD, I was gonna mention the same thing, lol. And the group under them is not that bad either. (WO-S junior team in the stjfl).
Not bad is an understatement. Hopefully those guys will go get them a Championship Saturday. They looked good at practice yesterday.

 15. Congrats to the Longhorns. Good luck next week in Austin.
 16.
You're right.  But keep in mind that LCM fans you bring some of that on when they post that LCM would have won if their QB was 100%.  That gives Nederland little credit, and draws the obvious response from Nederland fans:  "What are you talking about, we beat the heck out of you."  Good sportsmanship means both winning and losing graciously. I'd like to follow-up on some of the early fun on the Sonnier debate.  TSonn is definitely my guy, but I have to say that ZSonn is a much better player than I realized.  I can see why LCM fans are so adamant that ZSonn is the best pure receiver in the district.  I also have to give your coaches real credit.  They do an outstanding job designing plays to get ZSonn open.  The motion and pick routes are well designed and well executed making it even harder to cover ZSonn.   By the way, I saw some great sportsmanship between the Sonnier boys last night both on the field and in the post game interview TSonn did with KFDM (making a point to mention what a great player ZSonn is).  I don't know if that part of the interview made the news, but I hope it did. This time, the grown-ups should take a lesson from the kids.
Plain and simple LCM did not play their best and Nederland played better.   Yes LCM had alot of key players injury but you can't blame losing a game on injuries the other players needed to step up.     Some of the post on this thread were very rude and uncalled for.  Yes, LCM has not had a good football team years pass but please give this year team the credit that they so deserve and stop comparing to the teams in the pass and why bring in basketball it has nothing to do with the game that was played.  Come on people whatever happen to being nice, I understand having a little jabbing but some of the posters on here really need to grow up.

It did make the news. The kid from Ned gave Gonzales and Sonnier props.
WOS runs the score up again! :D ;D 63-0 and Badsanta tells Drayton his suit is too small at the next tailor meeting. ::)  Seriously though WOS by a whole bunch.
It's "taylor" not tailor. See you must not use the same guy as badsanta and Drayton.
 18.
FYI smart guys, Drayton and I buy our suits from the same taylor! He doesn't know much about baseball honestly! He isn't control of player personel! Marty Thumbell is! Drayton is still shopping the team around FYI!
Name dropping = nothing
 19. Seems to me all you do is post! Playing for BC I see you never knew what winning was so why are you still talking to me! I've been to 6 BCS title games, 5 Super Bowls, and 2 NCAA basketball championships! I think I follow and know more about sports than someone from a population of 16!
Huh?  I have Astros season tickets but I haven't gotten a call from Drayton asking for my advice nor any calls during Oswalt's tenure for some pitching advice.  Just because you can afford to go to some high profile games doesn't mean you know anything
i doubt he can even afford it... even i can go to the bank and bust out a loan for a couple grand to go to the Superbowl..
It's easier than that. Just get on here and post that you have attended those events. It's not like you really had to be there just say you were there. That's free.  ;D
 20.
Here is my wisdom for all of you WOS fans! I wish you well in the playoffs but don't be supprised if someone puts 70 on you in round 2. We will see you in basketball season!
If that happens then too bad for us we should have played better defense.
 21.
Cooper you know better! This isn't the BCS! 70-0??? Run QB sneak and punt! The score was ran up regardless! 70-0 84-0 doesn't matter. When do you call the dogs off! I remember WOS beat Lincoln 84-0 and in basketball Lincoln returned the favor at the Beehive by 52! What goes around comes around.
Well if that happens i bet we don't cry about it.
 22.
70-0 is running up the score! Give me a break dude!
If you were there you would know that there is nothing about this 70 0 that was running up the score. There really was no way to score less and many many ways to score more. I knew some loud mouth would come on here crying about running up the score. Give me a break dude!
 23.
Our defense was the best against Lumberton. Also when you lose key players on defense that hurts. When we are putting up 40-50 points per game and your quarterback is not 100% but still plays his heart out that is TOUGHNESS. The score would have been different and the outcome could have been different.    NO EXCUSES but Nederland did not see our full offensive force tonite like it has been all year so good luck and know THE BEARS WILL BE BACK
The biggest problem I saw all year is that you were also giving up 40-50 a game as well as scoring that many. I only remember one defensive game played. At the end of the day the Bears had a good season to build on and hopefully that's what will happen. Congrats to both teams.
 24.
I hear rumor that a Liberty/WO-S game will be in Beaumont.
Thats what I'm hearing too.
