;D yea after that nail biter last year I understand. Yo cats fell 1yd and 1 score short in a game I thought you'd win. Good luck K-ville and Mustangs
Yea Ryker WOS is not my pick to want to beat..I'd rather we beat Jasper anyday than WOS...much more meaning in my opinion... ;)
More meaning and more likely too.  ;D
 3. Holy cow. I have a sophomore too. No sports unless cheerleading is a sport and God knows I don't want to start that debate. She has been driving since Nov. 23 and has only hit 2 things and she is proud of that fact. Just like her mother.
 4. Sitr, you don't have a son that old do you?
 5.
The GTB 14U did it again this weekend.  Won the 14U open tournament at cypress mounds in Baton Rouge.  Went 5-0 and Scored 53 Runs.  The 13's were in the championship game but came up short.  They amazingly went 4-1 with only 8 players the whole tournament due to illness. Again Great Job guys!!!!!
WOW! That's impressive. It's hard enough to get through a game with 8 players but to actually go 4-1 in a tournament is really special. Congrats to both the GTB 14U and especially be proud of those 8 boys on the 13U team. Sounds like yall are on the right track.
 6. Great job. Sounds like some outstanding young men.
 7.
The 14U SETX SELECT Whitecaps played Feb. 27-28 at Marauder Park in Lumberton and finished with a 3-1 record bringing their overall record to 26-8-1.  The Whitecaps will play again this coming weekend (March 13-14) at Marauder Park for the St. Patrick's Day Showdown.  The Whitecaps were led this past weeked offensively by: Shay Singleton (Vidor) - .428 BA, .583 OBP, 6 R Cooper Dix (Lumberton) - .555 BA, .600 OBP, 3 R, 3 RBI Collin Bledsoe (Hardin Jefferson) - .500 BA, .666 OBP, 3 R, 1 RBI Zach Johnson (Vidor) - .666 BA, .700 OBP, 2 R, 5 RBI
What division are yall playing in? Are you playing 54/80 or 60/90? Sounds like yall had a good weekend. Hopefully our 14's will get a shot at yall once we get off the ground. It's always good to play good competition. Good luck and have a good season.
 8. Obviously every team thinks that their team has the best outfield.  ;D
 9. Congrats to the Gladiators.
 10. Congrats to the Mustangs.
 11.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe LCM hit several HR's in their tournament last year. The field is short and the wind blows out of there a lot but the pitching that they are facing is the key. This is more or less a 3A tournament. LCM has alway's had big guy's that can hit the ball out of the park. Early in the season they alway's put up big power number's. I don't believe in any year you can count LCM out because they just reload like Nederland and Port Neches. I guess we'll see how good they really are in a couple of weeks.
I agree with that. At this point in the year all they can do is hit who throws against them. I don't think they are going to be a big power hitting team by any stretch. they seem to play pretty solid defense and I think that will be the key for them this year.
 12.
Compared to most schools their field is a little league field as far as fence distance.
Yet, no other team hit that many HR's.  ;D
 13. I'm not sensitive at all. I know you have this thing with this certain someone but don't you think that kids read this too. I don't even have a kid that plays but if you need to kick the certain someone why not do it in private so the kids don't always have to see you kicking them? LIke I said, never 1 positive thing. It would just be nice if just on occasion you practice the rule "if you don't have anything nice to say then don't say anything at all".
What does that mean? All teams are recognized.
I guess you never considered a WOW thats great!!!!!!!! Congratulations.
 15.
Jasper 24 WOS   0 just a guess. ;D
6-4 Jasper. What do you have to say now smarta.. I think your whole reason for being is to try to break down the kids and fans of WOS. It would have been just as easy for you to keep your mouth shut and not say anything. Maybe you should consider that from time to time. I never see you make these comments about any other school.
 16. They scrimmaged last Friday. I'm just not sure what kind of mess you are trying to stir? I was there for most of the scrimmage and nothing happened but a scrimmage. Get a bigger stick and find another pot to stir.
 17.
Taylor Townsend had a no-hitter going into the 7th inning.  He also doubled in the first run for Kelly.  The defense for both sides was incredible.  In fact, the right fielder for LCM made a beautiful diving catch that saved two runs.  One of the best high school games I have seen in a while.
The right fielder (Mason) is also the one that broke up the no hitter in the bottom of the seventh with a lead off double in the right center gap. He eventually scored the tying run. Gabe I'm not so sure this 12 inning game would have killed your deadline. The game started at 6 and if it would have ended after 7 it would have been over by 7:30. Even after 12 innings I think I was home before 9:30. What a way to start the season for both teams.
 18. Do you have any stats?

The size difference was not there to be honest with ya. They had some nice sized running backs also. What I don't understand about Lonestar is u can be 10 years old and only 85 pounds but you can be an 86 pound 10 year old and get whipped on by a bigger 12 year old,and from what I hear some 7th graders. Why is that acceptable?
Their best back was 8 years old, Mc Cain and he weighed 70 lbs. what games were you at? look nobody is making excuses they whipped Silsbee just as I said they would. WOS looked great but, they were as big as our seniors with there 10 year olds and thats fine cause thats how STJFL is built nothing wrong with that but don't bash us cause we don't do it. The reason is simple, we need 3 year age brackets to have enough kids we are smaller most of us anyway, STJFL is awesome and I love what you are doing, but it just doesn't work for us crap, and we have been playing with larger ten year olds in seniors for ten years now as did some of your towns when we started STJFL. When will all of the hard fellings and animostiy die? As far as the seventh graders they are 12 for the 900th time we feel that 12 is 12. We play 12 year olds to fill out teams reguardless of the rumors no one ever has more that 4 or 5 unless there is some freak year somewhere but they still are 12 . I personally have not held a gun to anyone and made them play in Lonestar if you don't like 12 there are other options. Again I like STJFL and have alot of friends over there and look forward to the day we can get along and work together.
Captain, I think you stepped off of the deep end. 92 was simply asking questions that he didn't know the answer to and thats why he asked. He didn't accuse anyone of anything or bash Lonestar for anything. He simply didn't know the answers nor did I for that matter. I think you had a flash back to the  days  when there were hard feelings between STJFL and Lonestar. Maybe there still are some but not with 92 or myself. Good luck next season.
Sorry if I took it the wrong way I just get tired of the crap on 12 year olds when for some reason they are supposedly stronger than a kid that failed and is in the sixth grade now I see that there are some proposals for 13 year olds to play against 11 year olds. How is that okay for a teenager who has reached maturity to play an 11 year old and we get it for a 12 year old to play a 86 lbs and bigger 10 year old.?. As far as the other I was against this game because of the eight and nine year old running backs on Silsbee's team so I did not understand the comment about nice size kids when our 10 year olds are 85 and under and his backfield didn't even have a 10 year old in it. And I am not making excuses WOS is awesome I just did not think they matched up well enough to play without serious injuries and thank the good Lord I was wrong they were only a few minor injuries. Good luck to you also I hope we all have a great year next season.
I think maybe there were some kids brought in. The kids we played weighed more than 85 lbs. The other reason I thought that was they had way too many "too many men on thefield" calls. They seemed very unorganized and I attributed that to the fact that they may have brought some kids in to play with them. Which was perfectly fine because that's what was agreed upon. Again Good Luck.
They were, and they did bring some kids in but it was off the Jr. white team thats where the QB came from when they tried to throw the ball which wasn't a good idea. lol
That's good to know. I knew they had to be better organized as a team than to have that many calls for a silly penalty. We taught our kids that if it was in the air it was meant for us. They bought into it and believed it and boy did they go after the ball if it was put in the air.
