WOS JR. WHITE (STJFL) VS SILSBEE JR. MAROON (LONESTAR) PREDICTION

They actually had some nice sized kids on their team. The size difference was not there to be honest with ya. They had some nice sized running backs also. What I don't understand about Lonestar is u can be 10 years old and only 85 pounds but you can be an 86 pound 10 year old and get whipped on by a bigger 12 year old,and from what I hear some 7th graders. Why is that acceptable?
Their best back was 8 years old, Mc Cain and he weighed 70 lbs. what games were you at? look nobody is making excuses they whipped Silsbee just as I said they would. WOS looked great but, they were as big as our seniors with there 10 year olds and thats fine cause thats how STJFL is built nothing wrong with that but don't bash us cause we don't do it. The reason is simple, we need 3 year age brackets to have enough kids we are smaller most of us anyway, STJFL is awesome and I love what you are doing, but it just doesn't work for us crap, and we have been playing with larger ten year olds in seniors for ten years now as did some of your towns when we started STJFL. When will all of the hard fellings and animostiy die? As far as the seventh graders they are 12 for the 900th time we feel that 12 is 12. We play 12 year olds to fill out teams reguardless of the rumors no one ever has more that 4 or 5 unless there is some freak year somewhere but they still are 12 . I personally have not held a gun to anyone and made them play in Lonestar if you don't like 12 there are other options. Again I like STJFL and have alot of friends over there and look forward to the day we can get along and work together.
Captain, I think you stepped off of the deep end. 92 was simply asking questions that he didn't know the answer to and thats why he asked. He didn't accuse anyone of anything or bash Lonestar for anything. He simply didn't know the answers nor did I for that matter. I think you had a flash back to the days when there were hard feelings between STJFL and Lonestar. Maybe there still are some but not with 92 or myself. Good luck next season. -
Congrats on a great season. I heard on the radio Deion Sanders was bringing his youth organization to a tourney in Houston this past weekend, is that the tourney yall were in?
Not sure, never saw Deion. Saw plenty of 10 year olds that were as big as him though. ;D

We finished 4th. The teams were huge. We looked like thier little brothers, all of them. We hung in tough and played hard. The boys left everything on the field. I'm a baseball guy and am accustomed to playing in baseball tournaments. That's all I have to compare this to and compared to a baseball tournament it was extrememly unorganized. Which by the way has nothing to do with us finishing 4th. We are actually proud of that. Fields were just horrible. Rules changed from day to day. Yesterday we played on a soccer field that didn't even have yard lines or sidelines. It was a good experience but you never knew what was coming next. Again I'm just trying to explain our experience. I don't want anyone to read this and think I'm making excuses. That's not what we do. I think next year we will start looking for a tournament sooner and maybe find one that is maybe more established and organized. Over all it was a great experience for us and the boys. I'm telling you we could not field 20 kids in the STJFL that were that size. Not only were they big but they were good too. That being said, I don't think there was a team there that we couldn't have beat. There were alot of teams that were as good as us though. The trick was to never get behind. You got one time out per half. The clock never stopped except for your time out or injury and I mean never stopped for any reason other than those two. You have never seen a running clock like this.

Thanks for all of the well wishes. The weather has been a pain in the a$$ lately. I haven't even had time to look for the bracket yet. We are going to try to practice again tonight and I will try to remember to ask our head coach about that. I know in baseball it doesn't come out sometimes until the Thursday before the tournament.

The King Classic will be played this weekend in Houston. There should be all-star teams from Houston, Dallas, Austin and San Antonio. WOS Jr. White minus about 4 or 5 kids that couldn't or didn't want to go play plus 4 or 5 kids we picked up are going to test the water. Hopefully it will be 2 good days of football and we will represent SETX the in a way that we can be proud of.

What an idiot. Either add to the thread or just keep your mouth closed. The guy was asking a legitimate question.
There is no reason to call anyone an idiot. This is the most ironic concept I've ever seen. You would be taking a bunch of homeschooled kids and putting together a team. If you want to be on a team, why be homeschooled in the first place?
When you make idiotic comments that's what you get. If you want to start your own thread fine but why come on here and post something that has nothing to do with the question asked in the thread. Using your train of thought the only reason to go to school is to be on a team. This will be my last post to you on this subject. I refuse to have a battle of wits with someone that is unarmed.
Hat's off for these great young men for doing such a selfless act, to save lives. N.L. Hines, Aaron Jenkins, Victor Blanco and Theo Edwards you all should be very proud, just a really great thing you guys have done. Just can't say it enough, great job gentleman. Not many people have the courage to do what the four of you did that night. You went out of your way at great personal risk to help another human being in need without any moral or legal obligation to do so. Many adults these days would look the other way or merely call 911 and expect a accolade. You men chose to act and save lives. The military calls people like that hero's. I'm sure your families, school, church, and entire community are very proud.
I think the people that are proud of these young men reach even farther than their community. As a father I can tell you that you boys are an example of the type of young men I'm trying to raise. Thanks for being a good example for my 9 and 10 year olds. We never know when we are being role models and who we are being role models to. We live in Orange and will probably never meet but my boys have read your story they think that yall are very cool for saving the couple. Again thanks for setting a good example for all of us.

Great job guys. Dayton and SETX should all be proud of you. Athletics teaches so much more than just sports. Not saying that is the only source of these boys character but I bet it helped along the way just as did Coach Stewart.
after finding out about the weight difference and age. this game should not have been played. JMO
It was very obvious that they either had or picked up kids that weighed more than 85 pounds. They were very unorganized and my guess is that is from picking up kids that weren't use to playing with them. No way the win the super bowl being that unorganized. I think they had 6, 12 men on the field calls. You can say what you want. The kids they had were every bit as big as our kids. Not one person as just come on and said good job Mustangs. But that is what I expected. Thanks to our coaches. Great job preparing our kids. Not just for this game but all season. It was total domination just as it has been each and every week these kids have hit the field this year. Congrats to the Mustangs. -

Hopefully, Mustang baseball is back on the rise.
After a very long period of no discipline and no fundamentals, the baseball program is headed in the right direction. Not only is coach addressing these two issues but many more.
