You know you don't meet many men in this old world. I grew up with my daddy telling me it takes a real man to admit when you've been wrong. I try to do it, not always successfully, and I recognize when someone else makes that effort. I have been wrong many times and today was no exception. I accept your apology and offer mine to you. Your a man in my eyes and yes here is your karma. :)
And one for you also.

And jumping on the old smite button.
I post as I read them Einstein. Not only that I don't smite. I'm also very proud of my third grade education thank you. It took me 7.5 years to get it.
Champion, we can go on and on and back and forth but as far as I'm concerned the disagreement between the two of us was nothing more than a misunderstanding. You misunderstood my post and then I responded to yours before reading on. Like I said I post as I read them. So I will apologize for jumping on you. I actually can take the high road from time to time. BTW, I really do like my education. Other than my kids it's one of my proudest things I have accomplished. It is a little higher than third grade though. Now lets see if you applaud me like you smited me! ;)

WT wasn't defensive coordinator in '98 when Newton won the title over Daingerfield. Johnny "Squat Low" Westbrook was and had been for many years. When he retired WT became DC. I like WT and he is a fine coach. I think his tutelage by Lidney Thompson probably helped some, but I'm not too sure he would come back to Newton if given a chance. Hopefully he will. He has a way of motivating kids to play for him.
Dang BooBoo do you ever get a fact right????? I get it now you are the kind of person that just spews crap out all over the place and hope that someone will believe it. You should spew in another direction if that's what you want. Otherwise you and your post are not a factor.
Although shut outs are very nice, I don't believe you can use this as a tool to measure greatness in a DC unless you give us the score of the game. I mean if you beat someone 48-0 it is not the same as 14-0. Most of the time a lesser team will score on your back ups late in a game. It happens all the time when you see a 48-6 game. I would have to see the scores of every game and the opponents of these games for shut outs to factor in. I mean if Coach Johnston shuts out Jasper and West Hardin , these are not the same. No more than Coach Thompson shutting out Jasper and Hampshire Fannett. I believe if you are comparing DC's that you would have to measure on State Championships only.
That's what they were referring to is shut outs a few pages back. You can't keep changing the rules until it fits your side of the argument. I don't mean you specifically, unless the shoe fits. ;)

CT vs WT Last 10 yrs at WOS and Newton (Full seasons) Shutouts: CT-30 WT- 27 Points per game: CT- 11.26 WT- 13.99 Number of opponents in each classification: CT- 5A (2), 4A (70), 3A (49), 2A (0) WT- 5A (0), 4A (11), 3A (62), 2A (63) And the bonus statistic, wins vs one another: CT- 6 WT- 0 Game, set, match... ;) ;D
Good stuff, Gas, even though you got the info from a guy that continiously makes snide remarks about this site. He made one regarding you needing this info. ;D Anyway, good stuff. I do have a question or two. How can CT be 6-0 against WT if WOS has no 2A opponents? Is part of those numbers include this season? If so, WOS did play 2A Kirbyville. Again, I just ask because I do not know.
I don't know the answer for sure but maybe we haven't played them since they dropped to 2A. I think he addressed the Kirbyville issue for this year.

Why are you rooting for Purple, scared of White or just would rather play Purple for some other reason, I assume if you think you can beat WOS you think you can beat PNG White and what about the other divisions Juniors & Seniors, venture outside your division. Going to be some great games Saturday from 9am till it ends around 9pm. By the way good luck to your PeeWee Raiders
HHMM , Im gona root for purple this week because I think they are a (sleeper) I think they are alot stronger than they have been given credit for , they just need to pull it all together in one game and play a near perfect game!! As far as LUM playing png white ,, no , Im not scared at all ,, IMO WOS is the #1 team to beat for LUM in all age groups !!! HHMM IN JUNIOR ,SB ,, LUM (white) vs WOS I'll take LUM In senior SB LUM vs LUM I'll take LUM (white) Yes Im taking LUM In them all , although I do think I'll will be a much tighter race in the PEEWEE DIV
So, since you don't think the Jr. game is going to be close, do you have a prediction on the score? Besides that, WOS has to get by BC this week before we even start thinking about Lumberton or anyone else.
TD........missed you at BWW's last night. Was hoping to get to meet you!
I made plans to go and then decided I better get my stuff ready for the deer lease after the game at LCM at 3. I will e theone with the trailer with 4 wheelers on it. ;D Hopefully we can do it again next Thursday. I would like to meet everyone also.

HJ is better than what they been in a while. HJ......play them like you played Kirbyville and anything can happen.
Thanks for the support. HJ will make this game more interesting than everyone is expecting. They have a very good defense and the offense will step up in this game.
HJ is giving up 352 yds per game how is that a good defense ???? Only HF is giving up more in the district ??
is that district or overall?
352 per game overall 290 per game in district both rank 5th out of 6 teams
So then, 290 is the over/under for yards that HJ will give up to WOS Friday night! I'm going with over. With a decent field I say way over. -
@ RB, hey man I have kept quiet, but I must defend my coaches. Stang 92 is a huge asset to our coaching staff. He just doesn't ask for glory, but trust me I let him know how much he means to this team. The only reason he does MPR, is he is the one that I trust, and he is very detailed, and will not let any of you suckas beat us on a technicality. lol By the way, he also gets the pleasure of writing that 50+ - 0 on the top of that MPR sheet, and laughs his butt off inside when he bring it to opposing head coaches to sign. Your John Hancock is next RB.
And I'm the only one you trust to be the "get back coach", right coach. I promise you it takes alot of patience, attention and dedication to do the MPR sheets. I've only done it once and if I never do it again it will be too soon. We are glad to have Stang92 back.

I take both of mine hunting and fishing after football season. I for one am glad for the break. That being said, I think if there is enough people wanting that then it's possible.

It was just a freak accident. Luckily there was no broken bones just torn ligaments, torn muscle from the bone, and severe dislocation that went through the skin. I have a ten week. I have a big goal in front of me and thats to be back for baseball. I am happy and it makes this alot easier on me seeing all the people praying and supporting me. Well i hope to see High Island on the diamond this year. Chester # 88 Senior 2010
Good luck young man. I'm betting you can do it. Prayers from WOS

Gasilla can tell us. Seems like I was at that came and I believe it was a shutout. Although Chase Shugart is a good athlete, I don't think he threw one bomb much less threw them all night long. What was the score in that game Gasilla? -
