If anyone can come back it's Shon. I hope that my boys play the game as hard and with as much intensity as Shon does.

I know of one error he had. Can any of you guess? It was definitely a 4-6-3 double play, not E4-4-6-3. Did the ball not land in his glove and then fall to the ground. Was he not moving. So easy of a catch a T-baller could have made it. No matter what the intention, it is an E. You are correct on three out of those four sentences. The thing is he still got two outs in stead of having two men on. It appeared that the Silsbee second basemen took notes on how to drop pop ups...if you want to play that game. OK so he took a couple of steps. No game being played here. Now, if you can keep up we are talking about errors on a certain second baseman. Not how many outs was made, nor are we talking about anyother second baseman. Just this one. Now let me get you up to speed. It was said that he had no errors, which is false. If he wanted an error free game he would have caught the ball, he did not he dropped the ball which is an error and in doing so two outs were made. So, try to stay on task about this certain second baseman and try not to drag other players in to make you fill better. It doesn't go into the books as an error, so therefore it is not an error. Learn the game before you speak =]. OK, is it because he recovered the dropped ball and made an out? I'm thinking that might be the only way an error would not be recorded. It's not recorded as an error is an out was recorded, much less they turned a double play. Sounds more like a smart play to me.

I still got one....I got one thing we talked about taken care of.But the out of town all the time I am still scratching my head about.Still dont know why there isn't more 10u teams around here. If you find the 10U's let me know. Didn't have a problem last year when we were 9U.

I still got one....I got one thing we talked about taken care of.But the out of town all the time I am still scratching my head about.Still dont know why there isn't more 10u teams around here. We will play in 12 tournaments including State and the World series. We have been to Houston once and Baton Rouge once. We got rained out in Baton Rouge. Other than that we have been able to find something between Beaumont and Lake Charles. It's not always the big tournament that we are looking for but we get by. We've won 3 and we have a second and third and a sixth. Playing in Lake Charles again this weekend. Good luck and let me know if yall are coming to Orange to play. Tell P. I asked about him. Good luck.

Maybe I will see you there. I still need a 10 year old. ;D

He wouldn't know how to take it if I had too many good things to say about him so I will keep it short. Not only does he do the high school sports but he does a great job keeping up with and putting all youth sports pictures on his web site. The best thing about Gary is that he gives away hot dogs. ;D

I coach GTB/Hitters Inc 10U Blue. I also have a son on the 9U Blue.

No sense in deleting it, I think it just died.

WO-S is hiring more coaches than spots vacated? They have the extra money, now that they don't have to bus. : Stopping the buses dont seem to have had an effect on the track program? How much do you know about the track program? Do you know how the kids get home? Do you know what time they get home? Do you have any idea what it's costing the coach? You're right from the outside it doesn't appear to have much of an affect on the program because of their success.

If any of you ever play at Ford Park it would be a good place to meet and put a face with a name. I ran into HJRocks/TxThunderRocks this weekend.
-
I call it a bro-mance
-
I never get tired of hearing those words. ;D

I have no idea what the record is in Orange. I will have to check. I know there was a young man that is now 13 that hit a lot of them when he was there.
-
Why for td? What do I usually call you? 'cause i figure we'll see each other again at the next championship game at Ford Park when Tx Thunder plays GTH Blue! I am assuming you coach with the 9U Texas Thunder? td coaches the 10U Blue GTB team. He didn't make the cut to coach with us on the 9U Blue GTB team. :D JK he is a great coach and great with the kids. But you do let me sit in the dugout if I promise to be quiet. ;D

I think I missed all of the bashing. Who is bashing the HF kids? -
Good luck with recovery, what ever the problem is.

I don't want to speak for anyone but I think they were talking about the kid that got pinch ran for. He threw his helmet. HF has had 2 kids thrown out of games. I personally don't know if all of this is the same kid or not. It really doesn't matter to me. I just hate to see a kid show his emotions that way. I think when it got down to the end of the games and HF made a couple of errors they were turning on each other (which tends to happen in these situations). When it does happen it usually means good things for the other teams. As for last night, the throwing of the helmet was the worst thing I saw. Good game played by both teams. -

That just might be the best post on this thread. -

Do you think it's OK have 2 kids ejected. Seriously making excuses will not help the problem. I have been to a lot of games this year in 3A and 4A. I haven't seen any other team act the way the kids from HF act. I don't know who the kids are and it's not all of them but the few make the team look bad and undisciplined. -

I disagree. I think it should be addressed when it happens. I don't know that much about the kids at HF. I have seen them play 3 or 4 and I think they have some athletes. That being said, it's disturbing to see how the coach allows them to act. If I could tell kids one thing, I would tell them that they never know who is watching. Scouts are everywhere. If you think they don't look at attitude, you're wrong. -

Zane Anderson pitched a great game for WOS. Not sure who the pitcher was for HF but he was a good left hander. Congrats to the Mustangs. -
A good coach that is teaching fundamentals. I'm always amazed at how kids get to that level and either don't know where to go when the ball is hit or they just don't go because they are watching the game instead of playing it. That has stopped this year. They are working to get better.

We are having to travel more than I want to in order for us to find 10U tournaments.

I always stuck an "out" in the top 5. Normally your top 4 hitters aren't going to get out much in league and occasionally the guy you stick in will get on. The main thing I wouldn't do is clog up my bases at the bottom of the line up. You have to stick 2 or 3 kids towards the end of the line up but I always put my best baserunner (of the kids that were struggling) hitting last.
