What you are talking about has gone on for years. Kids move to a school that is rich in tradition and winning to play and be recognized. It was happening to WOS in the 80's and 90's. I'm not saying that is what Matt is doing because I don't know. Yeah, we all know that no one gets recognized at BC??? It was a selfish move, unlike most of you posting, I heard the reasons for leaving strait from him and all of them were selfish!!! What happend to team loyalty and home town pride???? His teammates that he has played with all his life depended on him and he dumped on them with two seasons to go because of better facilities and a coach giving him a line strait of of the used car salesmans handbook!! Does Barbe actually think that they won't get investigated for recruiting him? And when the investigation finds that they did, Matt won't be able to play anywhere. I disagree but that is just my opinion.

Are you talking about LCM seniors quitting? Just because I can't think of a reason to quit doesn't mean there isn't one. I think you would have to walk in their shoes.

No kidding. I wish that I only had to follow the rules that I agree with. I agree with following the rules. The only thing I would say is, lets not change them on the fly. If the rules are laid out then they should be followed. On the other hand if they have been doing this for two years it seems as thought it would have been addressed before it happened if the rule changed.

My 8 and 9 year old were baring their painted chest on Friday night at the WOS football game along with their 2 friends who are 10 and 8. They each had a letter on their chest that spelled W O S #1. I'm sure we are next.

I don't think you are going to get bashed for that. We all think we would've/should've won a 3A state championship by now. The funny thing is that this is coming from someone from BH. Whether the comment is from BH or Tarkington its still valid ;D I think you just want to argue. I agreed with you that we all think we would've/should've won one by now. Maybe yall should play us and then you would see why we are as highly touted as we are. 8)

I haven't seen Lumberton play but I did see Central and that was enough for me to form an uninformed opinion. Central wins. They are fast and hit hard on defense.

Nope, Hate Barbe still like Matt though, best of luck. Sounds like they have a bunch of Matt Hicks though. They may have alot of good players but I'm not sure they have alot of Matt Hicks. Something about this young man impresses me more than any other kid I've met. He seems to have the total package. Talent, manners and an overall good young man and I haven't known him that long.

I also graduated from SFA. You can bet it wasn't the kids of the professors in the Forestry department. ;D

I guess thats the good thing about decisions like these. They only have to make sense to the people that make the decision. Matt will be fine.

Central is staying quiet. They will sneak up on some people. Not alot of talk about them but they might like it that way. They are good.
