I for one plan on standing and showing my appreciation for the kids of LCM. After that, all bets are off. I hope we have a good, safe and injury free game for both sides.

Where in the world are yalls kids? We had a slight breeze and a sprinkle. School starts tomorrow. I hope they make it home safe and in time.

I don't think the LCM fans care about that. Every single one of them that I have talked to said they would rather lose 100 to 0 than quit.

I think most Mustang fans support the LCM kids anyway. We even support them in this game. We wish them luck. We wish no injuries. We just don't wish them to win. Not in this one. But I for one hope they win every other game they play.

The LCM family has been BUZZING for several years now ! Just most of the buzzing has been from the other sports that have been affected by the AD's decisions. But, at least now the whole school will be letting their feelings on the matter heard.......hopefully This is a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE decision to make for the kids and the LCM community ! Obviously someone does not bleed GREEN AND GOLD but YELLOW ! I think people don't realize that although we are cross town rivals in sports, we are friends, our children are friends. I want to not only watch the Mustangs but the Bears too. I have friends that have children on the team, in drill team, cheerleaders and in the band. We don't get to see them because we play on Fridays just as they don't get to see our kids. This is way bigger than who wins or who loses. The seniors will never get this game back.

Apologize for what? We wouldn't have anything to apologize for. If you think we want to play them because we think we can win, then you're wrong. Yes we think we can win. We don't go into a game that we don't think we can win. However, this is a cross town rivalry game. If they win, they will get congratulated but not an apology.

I completely disagree with Moody's call on this.... but it is his call to make. Coaching should not be done by committee or "the entire community". He was wrong in my opinion but it is his right to make that call. Yep, but the school board has the right to judge his actions as the football HC and AD. As the LCM athletic director, Coach Moody has the right and power to make this decision...even if it's a dumb one. BUT, he should have to answer to the LCM community and school board. I'm an avid LCM supporter, have three children in the LCM school district, and have been a season ticket holder for about 20 years. I ALWAYS try to support the decisions of school officials, but I'm having a hard time swallowing this one. Coach Moody's reasoning for cancelling the game is weak at best. The only way for us to get better is to work hard, be disciplined, AND play good competition. The worst thing for a struggling program is to have "spring work outs", an open week, and then cancel game 2. How much farther can you put your our team behind? For a guy who uses a lot of quotes and philosophies...this is a terrible lesson to be teaching. Actions speak louder than words. AMEN! Glad to hear some of the people from LCM aren't happy about this either.

How do we know they won't cancel next week. Being behind for next week is ridiculous.

I wonder if he will pay me for my ticket that I bought. This was to be our biggest game as far as ticket sales and concessions go. What a disappointment.

How do you know that Hooks agreed, have you talked to him or someone on the coaching staff yourself? Or have you just heard that he agreed? well if he didnt agreed, it would be a forfeit, and wos would get the win, but that hasnt happen has it? logic doesn't seem to work on this board Cutter, nice try. well if he didnt agree,the wos should get the win, and lcm should get the lost The win or the loss is not what's important. What's important is playing the game. It will be the biggest home game WOS has. Not to mention, LCM is rebuilding and when rebuilding you should play every chance you get. It's good for the kids and the community.

I don't think the people from WOS are bashing him for sure. I think alot of us are just disappointed that we don't get to see this game. This is probably our biggest money game and now it's off.

No, you look. No coach preps for the 1st game all fall camp, you work on it the first week or so. GET REAL!, they prep for two scrimages before they even thought about WOS. Why would we prep for them all fall? This isn't our first game! Oh, I see now. The scrimmages were much more important than the regular season game, right? Baloney! YOU get real! LCM plays WOS harder than they play any other school. I've heard it said from MANY people...."If we only win ONE game this year, I hope it's against WOS". Don't tell me they don't prepare for WOS!!!! So WOS has been preping for LCM all fall? Just let it go, it's over.

Ugly or not I bet the kids want to play.
