I think Mansfield is just above Many, population about 4736 from 2019 census compared to Jasper with about 7403 from 2020 census. Much smaller school. Don’t look like it would be much of an upgrade to me. Just wonder if their is more to this story?

I am trying to remember when I was on the school board seem like when an opening has been posted there is a Set time before it closes. After that comes the ones the board wants to interview. Then the superintendent gives his suggestion to the board but it is up to the school board who they select. I will bet you that if CT makes a suggestion that will be your next coach.

Don’t knock the black coach, Burkeville had a good one for years and won two state championships.

You would think the people on this site are picking the next coach and you even argue over who it should be. It don’t work that way. The school board along with the recommendation from the Superintendent and coach T will make that decision. You have already had remarks on this site about voting board members out of office. You elected them and should respect their decision. I don’t think any of you so called Experts know more about football than Coach T.

Newton was 298 last alignment. 260 this alignment, lost 38 kids. If we continue at that rate, next alignment if we lose 30plus kids we could go down to 2A-1.

At the rate our enrollment is dropping newton may drop in two more years. Newton is about 160 now and has lost about three kids since snapshot day. We were 298 last alignment.
