Then came Neece, due to internal problems he came over to newton and said he was not going anywhere else but Anahuac put enough money on the table and he left. He had Anahuac in the playoff last year.

Alvarez took over Kirbyville in 2000 prior to that Kirbyville had a 25 game losing streak. In 3 years He led Kirbyville to their first playoff birth in 14 years and it only got better after that until he left for Ennis. That fits my definition of turning a program around.

What does that have to do with who has the best chance to win state this year. Enrollment WOS 625 newton 298 two divisions difference, not much to brag on.

I think newton is one year away. I think 3A2 will feature Gunter vs Franklin. Don’t think WO-S can get past Gilmer or Carthage.

I think they have the rankings right. However there are only a play or two or an injury or two from who wins it all. Canadian scored in last seconds. Franklin beat Waskom by one point. Newton has its top offense lineman out and hopefully he will be back for the playoffs.

Most of the stores have someone come once a week to put the out the new magazines and take some of the old ones up. So they may sit in the shipment box for several days before being put on the rack.

You are right, should have said he intends to sign with USC. I wonder if Barlow (TCU) transferring there had anything to do with his decision. Gaston is a man among boys, when he gets to college he will be a man among men. He has the potential to be great.

Newton’s running back (Gaston) signs letter of intent with USC. He will be a senior next year. Barlow (TCU) is transferring to USC also.

Yes, there were 6 or so teams and Newton finished second. Newton won there game with Jasper. Glad to see our young QB getting some experience. Coach said he could really throw the ball for a little fellow.

When two teams do not play each other. The only thing we have is the computer projection (calpreps) where data from both are put in and evaluated. 2020 projection was Carthage 35 aledo 28. Carthage wins. of course this could just be another dumb statement.
