Hopefully Warren will find a coach that can get the kids to buy into his program. Winning teams have a year around program and kids are required to participate. A lot of the kids will not buy into the program, instead of lifting weights in the summer they had rather play computer games. It is hard to get a kid to buy into a losing program.

And what do you project their district record will be this year with their new coach? Cannot see any high powered coach wanting to go to Warren. Don’t think the money is that good at Warren.

You are right, Darrel and Brian are at Jasper. However, the kids have to want to put in the extra work. Newton graduates this Friday and the kids that will be coming back next year will be in the weight room next week just as they have been doing since the end of football this year. Newton competes in powerlifting every year and have several coaches coaching powerlifting. Does Warren have a powerlifting program? Powerlifting is required for all football players and a record is kept on the progress of each player. Powerlifting and success go hand in hand when all the kids buy into it.

Whsalum, you are absolutely right. They were losers when Barbary was coaching there. He seems to be doing good at Jasper.

There are two sides to every story. Not saying your side is wrong but the other side may have more class then to get on a public site and toot their horn.

Unfortunately that the world we live in now. The horse that just won the k derby had a illegal drug in her. Makes you wonder why her trainer has had so many winners. Big city football is going the same way. Cities like Katy with 6 or more 6A high schools and the better players transfer to to one school which makes that school a powerhouse every year. That’s why smaller schools like WO-S,Newton,Carthage and San Augustine still have a chance to win state.
