Newton had not practiced due to the storm and one coach testing positive for covid. . Elect.was out while other teams were up and practicing. Newton is young ,12 sophomore and1 fresh. On var. The next 3 or 4years looks very good for Newton with speed to burn coming up from the JV. you better get Newton this year for we will be a tough out the next several years.

Newton jr. high 22 San aug. jr. high 16 Newton JV 58 Garrison J V 6 .clock run all second half. Garrison had 13players on JV. They showed a lot of heart.

And.shiro is a class above k..ze. This will be a closer game then people think.Newton by 7.

turnovers and penalties has added to a young team , mostly sophomores, and one freshman. Due to injuries Newton may have to pull up several more freshmen to fill their roster.

This old Newton guy was pulling for the L-Train. Good season Raiders. Most teams in the state never made it to the first round. You make it to the second. Good job, well done and wishing your team the best in the future.

Seems like Carthage run all over Gilmer, they knew every play that Gilmer was going to run. It had nothing to do with having better athletes.

Lumberton will need to bring some brown paper sack.

Gilmer has 788 kids in High School, Newton has 285 kids. That may have a something to do with Gilmer winning.

You will find out just haw good your offense/defense is when you play a top ranked team like Carthage. Pulling for Lumberton but Carthage will walk all over L Train. We lost to a good Gilmer team which Carthage walked all over. Carthage is the standard for 4A-1 just as WO-S is the standard for 4A-2. However, wishing L Train the best.
