What will help is when EC plays that tough preseason schedule. Kountze 0-7, H.Jeff. 2-6 and H. Fannett 2-7. -

sounds like Liberty walked all over you. -
You may be right about LCM at Newton, The Newton school site showed the game at LCM. I had heard earlier from one of the coaches that the scrimmage was in Newton. Newton scrimmaged at LCM last year.
-
What does that have to do with scrimmaging Newton 8-24?
-
Newton 8-17 Jasper Home 8-24 LCM Away

I am not for banning them, just require that they be a minimum of 10 miles from the stadium. If you are down on the track, like I am, and that frazzling thing goes off, it is damaging to your ears. Newton's district has a ban on them along with the air horns in the stands.

It's like judge Judy said. "You just can't fix stupid".
-
How about it CB, how many 5A div. 1 ranked teams have your cardinals scheduled, are you running from them or are you still hanging your head from the 55 points Newton put on your cardinals the last time you played them, and buy the way, the cardinals run from Newton after that donkey stomping.

I'm picking Nederland over WO-S.
-
Wow, WO-S is two divisions higher then Newton, twice as many kids in high school. I assure you, Newton has all the respect for W0-S and Gilmer. Newton playing WO-S is like WO-S playing Aledo and Manvel this year. Let' compare apples to apples. Newton obviously does not have the dept. that the larger schools have. But, don't sell Newton short this year. I think Newton will give a good account of themselves.

DCTF predictions for SETX teams, players
purpleeagle replied to DannyShapiroBE's topic in High School Football
Yes, but they were the best 0-10 team in the playoffs. -
may God bless and keep you healthy with a speedy recovery.

Saturday 415pm. Walgreen's in Jasper just put them in the magazine rack.
-
How about a tie game.....no one wins, no one loses. The bottom line is that games are played on the field, not on an internet site on who thinks which team will win. None of you know who would win, 'no not one.'
-
and the argument goes on...No one wins.
-
You are all just dreaming. No way one can win this argument. WO-S fans will say the mustangs win, Carthage fans say the bulldogs wins. There is more Carthage fans then WO-S fans, so the bulldogs win.

New district mates PN-G and Crosby ranked in the top 10.
purpleeagle replied to prepballfan's topic in High School Football
Wow, all these people who's team is not ranked and they have a negative attitude towards the teams that are ranked. How many time have we heard that WO-S is overrated. -
DC site said the magazine should hit the stores on or around the 28th of June. Places like Wal mark have someone put the magazines out and they only come one day a week.

Playoff home-field for 4A and below
purpleeagle replied to DannyShapiroBE's topic in High School Football
Newton's stadium is grass and the seating is not large enough for a playoff game. Also, one team has to travel a long distance at times and this is a school night. Smaller schools like Newton like to play in a nice stadium with artifical turf. If it is not broke don't fix it. Meeting half way is still the best solution. -

Not sure, but it seems that Carthage finished third in their district and won state that year. -

For every team that host a playoff game, their is their opponent that has an open stadium. -
Hughes Spring will be no match for hf. Just hear on CNN that 7 on 7 is the stepping stone to success. According to CNN, hf is on the rise.

and the school board can make a difference, and who elects the school board ''the people like you do", so who is to blame? It is easy to sit back and blame the school board. If you don't like the school board's decisions, then step up and run for the board (who have more duties then to just select a football coach).

Best of luck coach Spell, wishing you a healthy retirement. Wow, 45 years, you obviously have touched many lives. I repeat a saying,' what you do for yourself will pass away but what you do for others will live on'.
