What was the score of the WO-S Richmond Foster game? Did that make WO-S any less of a powerhouse in their division? No it did not and if WO-S and Gilmer beat Newton that will not make Newton any less of a powerhouse in their division. Most Newton people are supporters of WO-S (except when we play each other). We have great respect for WO-S.

amen

Why don't you all just wait until Newton plays Gilmer and see what happens. None of you know what will happen. This site is full of crow eaters. All of you keep comparing apples to oranges. Newton can't just beat every team and WO-S can't just beat every team. The Newton players and Coaches are not mouthing off that they can beat Gilmer or anyone else. You all just stir up all this crap.

Reminds me of a "my daddy can whip your daddy site".

I got news for Cbacker, it flooded in Newton last year to. Must have flooded the year before when Newton played Silsbee. Sounds like a Cardinal fan who has given up on his birds and flew over to Silsbee to be a tiger fan. He obviously does not know that most of the D1 players come from 6A and 5A schools. Silsbee is a quality program and I wish them the best in the upcoming season.

On this site "Tentative non district schedules" it is show that WO-S has week 1-Nederland week 2-LCM week 3 Crosby week 4 Br.City .. week 5 Jasper. Newton has weeks 3 and 4 open . Something does not add up. Is the week 3 Crosby game wrong?

Just remember, several years ago a coach came here from little ol West Sabine and turned this program around. He is at Ennis now. So, whoever gets the job, give him a chance before you condem him. Good luck Kirbyville, you have to good of athletes and should be at the top like you were several years ago.

You just can't fix stupid.

L Train you must be an expert. The definition of expert is someone who can put their mouth to a mules mouth and.......................Quit comparing apples to oranges, Carthage is three divisions higher than Newton. Let's compare Lumberton with some team 3 div. higher than L-train. How about Lake Travis.

And you asked where the saying come with' getting the plank out of your eye before you get the spec out of someone else eye' You might try reading something you obviously have no knowledge of- The Bible.

Newton 55 Bridge City 14 Newton plays their second and third teams the last two quarters.. AT&T stadium is beautiful, I will send you a picture of it. If somehow you don't receive it WO-S has plenty of pictures of it.
-
And the Newton haters come out.
-
You might look at the population of BC and look at the population of Newton and that might give you a clue to the difference in the amount of people that travel for Newton.

Why don't you all leave it to the Newton Coach to whom to play or not to play. All you all know is just mostly speculation. I assure you neither Newton or WO-S are scared to play anyone within their enrollment range. I don't think we will schedule Manvel or Allen or the New Eng. Patriots. Newton already has a traveling problem with New Waverly and Anderson/Shiro added to our district. From my house north of Burkeville to N. Wav. is 146 miles, And/Shiro is 176 miles. All of you who say you would like to see them play so and so and you probably would not go see them play anyhow, you would probably be watching your own team play. WO-S does not need to prove anything by playing Newton. WO-S has proven it's self through the years. WO-S is two divisions higher then Newton. They are, and should be, a better team.

I think this, I think that, I think, I think, I think your brain is fried.

PN-G is going to miss donkey stomping Lumberton. Lumberton needs to get the plank out of their own eye before they try to get the spec out of PN-G eye.

This post stinks.. Why start a topic that only serves to stir up dislike between two good teams and two good programs. The coaches have their reasons for their schedules to be like they are. WO-S is not scared of playing anyone and neither is Newton. Newton and WO-S are not scared of losing. Sometimes a loss to a strong team is good . I am a Newton supporter but also support WO-S. Don't judge Newton by what a few Eagle fans post. I assure you, Newton is not trying to schedule WO-S because they think they are better, or can beat them nest year, because WO-S will be good next year. Newton is definitely not trying to schedule Carthage because they think they are better. Newton is trying to get away from the mickey mouse losers by BC.

I don't think Corbin will play college ball, this kid is brilliant and is going on with his goal of being a Doctor. I have no doubt that he will meet his goal. Keep up the good work Corbin.

Golden Triangle Running scared from Newton
purpleeagle replied to Back2swag's topic in High School Football
The problem with Houston or anywhere else that is that far off is the Jr. High and JV playing Thursday night and having to get back late and having school the next day. This area does have some quality teams. It just so happens that this year was a down year for this area. A lot of these teams like K-vill, Br. City, E. Chambers and several more teams will rebound. Silsbee and Jasper and Woodville are always quality teams, Diboll was one of the better teams we played last year. -
who on a 5 and 5 team do you think should be on the list?
-
Newton did not need Johnson at QB, Josh Foster can flat out run and pass, He did not need to run most of the time but when he did he was very athletic, Brown has been named All American, Barlow rushed for way over 2000 yards. Johnson was the most valuable player because PN-G would not have won district without him. Corbin Foster was all state last year and his performance on defense was outstanding. Tough choice for WT to have to select one. Corbin and Brown already had awards. By the way Brown, Josh, and Barlow are juniors.

Golden Triangle Running scared from Newton

Going outside your area poses a problem with JV and Jr. High players playing on Thursday night and getting back home late and having school the next day. The UIL added Frankston to our district and the JV and Jr. High teams did not play because of the long travel on Thursday night. Frankston is between Jacksonville and Athens. -
I think Johnson will win on offense and Foster on defense. All those listed are good choices. Congratulations to all those selected.

Who’s the next bigtime Golden Triangle prospect?
purpleeagle replied to jkbtjc53's topic in High School Football
I did not realize Jasper was in the golden triangle. Since we have branched out to Jasper and Newton Counties, there is an 8th grader from Newton (Gatson) who is a man among boys. Look for him next year probably on the varsity. He is the best kid (running back) I have ever seen in the 8th grade. I assure you the 8th grade teams that played Newton last year know who he is. -
What do you mean, bust up Orangefield, they won three times as many games as BC.
