Week 1 was with Kirbyville(cancelled), Week 3 was Diboll(40-20), Week 5 was E. Chambers(60-17). Guess they must to have cancelled out on Newton. Diboll was a decent team, would have liked to played them again. Looks like maybe Silsbee may still be on our schedule, they are always a tough game.

I think you should decorate your car/truck and go down town and have your parade and invite anyone who wants to participate to join you. I want be there but that does not mean I don't appreciate the Mustangs and what they have accomplished. Go for it. Now, if you do not have your parade does that mean you don't appreciate your Mustangs?

And most all these Newton kids will be back next year for their senior year. WO-S are still winners. They still have been in the state championship 4 years in a row, they will be back next year because they are winners. Look to see Newton and WO-S in the state championship games again next year. Newton is something like 27/1 and WO-S is something like 40/1 that equals about 67 wins with only 2 loses. Don't know exactly but that is probably pretty close.

Same thing on the 5A1 game tonight on dish. It is on one of the feeds, 451 on dish.

WO-S is throwing away the play book that they have used the last 40 games and they are going to use the strategy from all the coaches on this site. This will bring about a sure win. Wishing WO-S a victory and on to another state title.

I guess when you (BC) get beat by teams like WO-S and Newton, you develop a real dislike for these teams. Especially if you are a larger school (4A-1) and you think your team has turned things around only to find out your team is back to where it was several years ago. Especially when you schedule WO-S and Newton back to back. The bad news is that things are not going to change next year. WO-S and Newton will be loaded again next year.

I can see W. Hardin having a big year, after coming off a 1-9 season, their expectations are very high. Maybe they can schedule that Acadian Christian school 8 times next year.

So Kountze goes down to 3A-2. 10-3A-2 loses Crockett (Crockett up to 3A-1) and maybe Garrison. Garrison was on the bubble and if they loses 2 kids, which I think they will, they will go down to 2A-1 Kountze will probable be in 10-3A-2

Yes, Mr. Rodent, We (Newton) have only won 24 of the last 25 games that we have played. The only other team in this area that can boost about that is WO-S. WR was ranked no. 8 in the state, give them a little credit.

UIL schedule (Maxprep) shows Newton playing Thursday at 5 pm. That is wrong also, they play Friday at 7:30. pulling for the mustangs, no matter where they play.

WR offense not so good. They were averaging 42 points a game. Give credit to the Newton defense. I think Newton will roll over Waskom and then catch a good Lexington team. I think it is good that Newton got tested.

Coaches met in Center this morning to decide the date and location. Newton won the toss to play Friday night. WR wanted to play Thursday. There is a story behind Thursday verses Friday. Grades come out next Friday.
