I think I counted something like 25 kids on the varsity that will be back next year and all of them are getting playing time. A lot of them are starter and some of them are sophomores.

Better bring mesquito dope. BC is about like High Island. I remember one year at High Island, W.Sabine was playing High Island and HI was leading by 2 points and W. Sabine's running back broke through the middle of the line on the last play and was uncontested towards the end zone but the mesquitos drug him down at the 5 yard line. HI won the game. GO EAGLES, bring the dope.

Diboll had a running back with something like 365 yards rushing against Crockett. He will probably do good to get 65 yards against Newton. I think Diboll is a fair team but not in the class with Newton . Newton 45 Diboll 7 I don't think anyone in our district will challenge us this year. How about that kicker from Newton. He is sure a big plus for our team.

If the other kid had played and got the same results, which I believe he would have, then you would be wanting to have him replaced. Are you president of the QB club?

Going back and reading the Newton vs. Silsbee post, it seems that the Silsbee attitude has changed. Who That is right, their is a lot of people talking about Silsbee after that game, but they seem to have gone from a positive attitude about Silsbee to a negative attitude. I WILL REMIND YOU THAT CARTHAGE FINISHED THIRD IN THEIR DISTRICT LAST YEAR BUT WENT ON TO WIN STATE.

The last 7 times Newton played Jasper, Newton won all 7 times. Silsbee is a good strong opponent. This should be a good game.

Kirbyville is no push over. They have a lot of players back from last year and they are a pretty good football team. We thought we would run all over Arp last year to.

Exactly, you play the other kids to get them experience. If the score is run up (and I don't think it will be) it will be with the second and third team kids. Newton carried 45 kids on the varsity last year and they all played.

Don't be to confident. Remember last year. Kirbyville will be a worthy opponent. Newton wins this one but it might not be as easy as everyone thinks. Kirbyville will play Newton very tough.

Newton's enrollment for high school is over 70 students and that's the truth.
