If he is suspended for the rest of the season, it not only hurts him, it hurts his team and his community. Seems to me like he must have been retaliating from something the other kid did, that doesn't make it right, but there may be more to the story then just what we see on the video. A two game suspension may be adequate. I think we need to get the whole story before we make final judgment.

If the coach doesn't take proper action then he needs to be fired. UIL needs to step in. There are conduct rules.

Newton don't like to run the score up. Probably be about like Diboll, over at half and cruse through the second half with the subs. Problem is, our subs are pretty good to. Don't mean any disrespect to E.C. they always play hard but they are rebuilding this year. The very weak schedule they have played will catch up with them.

Bridge City had the best line we have faced this year. They just kept making mistakes that killed drive after drive. Several fumbles, one blocked punt and numerous penalties . They get the self destructive mistakes straighten out and they will be a pretty good football team. Good luck to Bridge City.

I was told T. Brown broke the bone around his left eye socket. May have to put a plate in. He was not in school yesterday so details are still pending but looks like he will be out for at least 4 weeks. We have three key kids out . Seems like a repeat from last year with a lot of injuries. As for as Diboll, they are not playing Crockett. Newton will destroy this team, we may put 50 on them.
