  1. same o, same o. There needs to be a law requiring them to be on the shelves on/by a certain day, failure to do so would be the death penalty.
  2. No, if a team don't like getting the stuffing's beat out of them, it is their responsibility to work harder and get better. Some teams have second string players that are good and continue to score. These kids have earned the right to play and score. A team needs to play their first string long enough to keep the players in shape, the second team needs to play and develop in order to gain the experience . That's how teams reload the next year. I always thought the object of the offence was to score.
  3. Week 1 Kirbyville at Newton should be a good one
  4. You are right, Newton is a small school, 3A-2 and Big BC is 4A-1 which is 3 divisions higher. Maybe BC should step up and play teams 3 divisions higher then they are , lets see, that would be div.6A-2. I'm sure that the larger enrollment would not play a part in the quality of players the larger school have. BC is playing in a smaller district and maybe some day they might even win their district (now that they are not in the same district with WO-S).
  5. BC 760 kids in High School Brock 330 kids in High School. I just can't understand why the UIL has different divisions according to High School enrollment.....
  6. Brock just started playing football a couple of years ago. They may field nearly as many players as BC but BC probably has about twice the number of player to choose from. P.S. BC will not finish first or second in their district.
  7. Brock is two divisions lower that BC and Lost a lot of kids.
  8. Defending state champions but two divisions lower than Silsbee. Brock lost a lot of kids.
  9. They never denied his contract. People just read in the school board's decision 'to table the contract' that it would not be renewed. I agree that it could have been done different, but NO HARM DONE.
  10. Have you taken your blood pressure lately? I presume your decisions throughout life have been perfect, so you were able to cast the first stone. Maybe you should get the plank out of your eye before you try to get the speck out of their eyes.
  11. A bunch of Hog-Wash bashing for nothing. Now, what do you think about your school board..
  12. I would love to see the professions of all you people who are running the school board down. Probably get a lot of truth stretching. There are other reasons for not renewing contracts. Probably things you are not aware of. Don't forget, the people elected these board members. I think you need to shift the blame on the people in that school district. How many of these responders fall into the that category? One thing I have learned in law enforcement is that there are two sides to every story.
  13. (Hempstead) Having a lot coming back from a 2-8 team does not empress me very much. E.C. coach seems to plays enough weak teams to keep his winning record up. Does nothing for the team when they meet a good playoff team. They were rolling along last year until they met Kirbyville. Very surprised to see he put Newton on his schedule. E.C. is in a lot weaker district than they were in last year.
  14. When UIL added the 4th team to the playoffs, Kountze got in. There is always hope, maybe the UIL will add the 5th team to the playoffs.
  15. Looks like about 150 miles to Frankston. C.C., Crocket and Garrison are not all that close. If our offensive line and linebackers step up, Newton could be real bad next year. not sure who will replace our all state linebacker.
  16. CardinalBacker, The question is, Is BC ready for Silsbee, Navasota and LCM? You better hope you have a lot coming back. Is BC playing WO-S next year?
  17. Maybe by week four our line will be a little more experienced. We lost all our offensive line and most of our defensive line. We will be rebuilding this year but still have a lot of skill players. But, watch out for Newton is two years away from a crop of players that may just be the best we have had in years.
  18. Newton has probably beaten Orangefield as many times as they have beaten us. They are two divisions higher then Newton, Br. City is three divisions higher then Newton. How many teams does BC play that are two or three divisions higher than them. I see BC has not gotten tired of being THRUMPED by WOS(which is one division lower then BC.).

      CardinalBacker

There are only two divisions higher than us.  5A and 6A.  So, no, we don't play any 6A or 7A(?) schools.  You probably haven't heard this, but we were the second smallest school in our district.... For 2015.   In fact, we will be the smallest team in our District next year when Jasper drops back to 4AD2.    We regularly play (and beat) teams in our district that are in the 1050 student range, which is considerably larger than our 750 or so kids.  In fact, you could add the entire Newton high school to our rolls, and still would not be as large as some of the teams in our district.  Think about that.  If we combined BC and Newton into one school, we still wouldn't be as large as LCM, Cleveland, or Huffman, all of whom we beat this year. Our collective GPA would suffer, though.  So the question is, how many times this year did we face teams that were from larger schools than ours?  7 out of 11.

Also, we haven't played WOS in two years....

  19. and the people elect those small town politicians.
  20. 1st two games- Kirbyville--Woodville Next three games(not sure of the order) Bridge City, Diboll, and Silsbee. 1st scrimmage- Jasper
  21. Palestine Wildcat Stadium. Palestine Texas 75801 1600 S Loop 256.
  22. They did not wait several years to correct their problem. I understand he was a fairly new teacher.
