New Caney JV WAS 8-2 IN 2009!

Dayton is full of people who have horses and cows, that may not have a ranch or farm, but sure knows what one is! You can't say that about Crosby!Most Crosby students are city kids that have moved from Houston!

Dayton is a country school with farms and ranches! On the Crosby side, it is more a bedroom community that is getting more white collar ever year!  Two different economic groups always cause friction and contempt! Both groups have their good and bad points!

In a few years , Porter will  out pace New Caney,just like Kingwood did Humble! Of Course ,the Earth Quest Adventures may change that!

WO-S is just not as good as usual and Coldspring is at a peak! Have to go with Coldspring ,but close! Coldspring 22-WO-S  20.

The new school in New Caney ISD will be the Porter High School Spartans!

The Coach was not flexible! He could not adjust to the ethnic makeup of the players! He coached like he was still at Needville! Different groups have different abilities and coaches have to realize that! When you run every play, in 14-5A it is not pretty!!

The game did continue after the horrible storm! At 10:30, the score was Huffman 7- Willis 0!I don't know how much time was left, but the game didn't start until after 9:15!

Can't wait until the Aug. 20 scrimmage with Orangefield!! It should be a good one! It will tell a lot about the two programs and the direction , they are going next season!!!
