They are 3-1... Only loss to a Gladewater team who was alot more athletic and fast.. Kville wins this one by at least 3 TDS...
They lost last night to Athens 38-33 dropping them to 2-2 for the season.
 2.
Anahuac Will Honor Garrett by wearing his Number on their helmets the rest of the year.
Hope that all area teams end up doing this.
 3. Hey Coop,  I saw on CNN that Dan Hooks is going to be interviewed at 6pm Central/7pm Eastern.  I will have to DVR both KFDM and CNN to see when I get home.
 4. I know that through FB word is getting around Anahuac to do something with a player wearing the number and being named capt.  I told them to contact Coach Barbay to see what he could do about getting it done and getting with other coaches.
 5. I posted on facebook for people to contact their coaching staffs and do this very thing.  We all know that there is most likely 1 young man wearing #12 on each team but at the very least all teams need that jersey on a player.  Make each one the captain for the games at the very least.
 6.
Houston Vanya  Looks like he might be QB next year
He will be the QB next yr.  He has put on some weight in the offseason but makes one heck of TE.
 7.
have they played anyone with any strength this season?...sounds like their defence isn't that strong, but they must have good recievers for the qb to have stats like that.
I'll have to do more research of their opponents.  Will ge back with you soon.
 8. They run the spread just like BC did last night.  Their stud is QB Trent Jurica.  He had hrown for 4,000 yards in his career coming into this season.  I believe he is avg 250+ passing a game.  I would venture to say that they don't run the ball as well as BC did last night...in other words they are more one dimensional.  As for their defense they have given up 82 pts through 3 games.  I think they lost last night to Athens and their record now stands at 2-2.  As far as a predicition I think Kirbyville will win this one in possibly the same fasion as last night game vs BC.  As long as Kirbyville's pass defense can carry over what they did in the 2nd half vs BC they shoud be fine.
 9.
Hardest thing I have ever done [Hidden Content]
I can't imagine Gabe!  I wish that I had your strength.
 10. Ryker is right Kerry.  You are one of the first that I though of when hearing about this.  Hang in there and know that we all here at setxsports are behind the family, you and the entire community of WOS and Orange!  We are all in this boat together. I think we all can relate to this verse at this time There is a friend who sticketh closer than a brother.  Porverbs 18:24
 11. Prayers to the Garrett family!  I am still in utter shock to hear of this truely sad event!  As I stated during our Kirbyville broadcast I didn't care what happend with the game we were calling.  It puts life into perspective when you hear of such a great loss.
 12.

I will politely laugh in the face of the next person who says that ANYONE runs harder than Ford... You obviously have not seen him play if you think that...
Based on how I saw Ford run earlier in the season, I could name a few that run harder. He was short stepping it earlier in the season when I saw him. Looked like he was still a little timid from the shoulder injury. He may now be hitting his stride more.
You are right AAW.  In the first game (Coldspring) he was a little timid but after getting the contact part out of the way he was looking good in the Newton game as well as last week.
They did put up a good fight last year.  I knew it was only a matter of time before D. Barbay got things going in the right direction down there.
Read the entire thread again and you will see what I am talking about. He (Bennett) ran for 175 last yr against Kirbyville and this yr Kirbyville held him to 73.  He was a 1,700 yard back last yr.  It's all in the debate about the QB for BC.  This is all talked about in the previous posts on this thread.
yeah, idk what i was thinking when i read that post... and does he have the whole O-Line back from last year?
From what I can remember he has the majority of the line back but Kville also lost some key defensive players to graduation so it just about evened out.  2nd yr under W.T. (D-Coordinator) is paying off big time.  The defense is playing better than I have seen it since Kirbyville has turned the program around.  FYI, coach Johnston was the coordinator in Newton for quite some time until he went to Kirbyville.

 16. Coldspring by 10.  Too much speed for OF.
 17.

Bennett from Newton is who I am refering to.  13-73 yards!
5.6 YPC... Looks like they should have kept giving it to him.
Look up what he did last yr against Kirbyville and you will see my point.  He ran for about 175 against Kirbyville.  BC hasn't seen a defense this good.
 18.
The Cardinals will score 3 TD's, but Kirbyville's a little too much as they score 5. The Kirbyville fans will be on the site Saturday, "Come to think about it, we might could find a spot for that Menard kid on this team"
Easy what you say there admin.  They'll get after you for that one little word!  ;)
 19. Man, I must be making some points that some don't like too much.  My smite has gone up some. ;D  Keep it up folks!
 20. One thing I have to say is look what Kirbyville did to a 1,700 yd back from last yr.  Bennett from Newton is who I am refering to.  13-73 yards!  No knock on the kid because I haven't seen a kid hit the hole as hard as he does in some time and that includes Ford!  Talk about a HARD runner.  Trust me when I say that BC doesn't have anything that Kirbyville hasn't seen already.
 21.
No moves east by the end of the month so hopefully no storms moving toward the Gulf by then.
Hopefully that will allow a few cool fronts to come in and push anything farther to the east.  Any chanced of a few cool fronts in the near future?

 23.
But, they could be just as strong!
That's the key word and could doesn't get the job done.  BC hasn't faced a defense like Kirbyville's as of yet in their 3 opponents.  BC scored 3 offensive TD's against Vidor who in turn gave up 7 offensive TD's to Kirbyville.  BC will have to create alot of turnovers to beat Kirbyville.  Sorry, but IMO I just don't see them keeping up with Kirbyville in this one.
 24.

If BC scores it is going to be because of a missed assignment or missed tackle from Kirbyville. If the KVille defense executes properly there is no way Bridge City will score on them.
I say it's K'villes game to lose, but since they haven't pitched a shut-out yet, what makes you think they will hold BC to 0 pts?  This will be the strongest team the Kats have played thus far and I look for it to be somewhat of a low score...say 28-21
I don't think they(BC) are any stronger than Coldspring.  Especially defensively.
 25. And many more that are play makers. Menard is not all BC has, just one of the best we have, there is a big difference.
kewl, then it should be a good game.  See ya Friday!
Hey Ryker, do you think I should keep our list a secret until Friday? lol
