It's to bad that Vidor can't get the amount of tickets they wanted for this game because many will miss out.  They asked for 3,500 but the entire stadium only seat 3,500?  Burns knows better ::)  Word is the band is going to have to bring chairs and sit behind one of the endzones.  Wildcat Stadium is going to be packed like sardines in a can.  I'll have my seat though! ;)

[/quote] BC is 3A and even though I am sure they have more players than Kville it is nowhere near what Vidor suits up.  Kirbyville wins this game.  Not because of the reason everyone would expect....i.e. Ford an Co.  Rather, because of their defense.  I know that they hung with Texas High and almost won but they have no defense and I highly doubt they can stop the running machine that Kirbyville has.

I said that I'd been told some things before summer practices ever started that didn't make me too optimistic about our chances this year. People started calling me negative. Calling me the worst fan any team could ever have. Etc,etc, etc... But you know what? The BC game proved what I had heard earlier this summer to be correct! In fact, it was right on the money! But, I'm not going to throw this team under the bus. They are young and they are small in some areas, but they are still capable of turning things around. If the defense steps up and does it's part, we have an offense that can beat anyone on the ground. But, true to what I was told, our offense is sputtering, but it is because it is not getting the help it needs on the defensive side of the ball. Coaches are not the ones out there not wrapping up. Coaches are not the ones out there trying to tackle with one hand around the waist. Coaches are not the ones out there refusing to grab ankles and instead grabbing shoulder pads so they can just slip right off. Coaches are not the ones only covering one receiver where three are lined up to to that side on a given play. The defense turns things around, we have a chance in district. We might not make the playoffs, but we won't go 0-10. But it is going to take better effort on both sides of the ball, not just on the offense. We got one more game to get these things squared away before the district games begin ... and those are the ones that matter. Let's not get out the tar and feathers just yet, okay Gilly [/quote] Those were the same things I heard coming into the season.  I am not sure some people realize that Texas High isn't as good as they have been in the past.  I m not knocking Vidor with the comment but it's true.  Their defense has a short week to prepare for a very good ground assult and that is very tough.

[/quote] If that's the way you see it you can make that assumption but you know what it means when you assume. ;)  If you would've been at the Kville/Newton game you would have seen that 2nd and 3rd teamers were in the game for the majority of the 2nd half and the still scored 2 extra td's.  It's not their fault that they couldn't stop them.

[/quote] Put your thinking cap on for a mintue and ponder this. ;)  If they score alot and there are alot of 2nd stringers in the game as was the case during part of the 3rd and the majority of the 4th (as was the case last night) everyone outside of Kirbyville will blame him for running the score up.  If you can't stop the 2nd and 3rd team RB's one can't call it running the score up.  BTW, Ford didn't play the 4th qtr if my memory serves me right.  So either way you can call it what you want but he will not ask his players to lay down and take it easy!  I can promise you that.  Kirbyville just beat a good Newton team so you can expect the same intensity from the coaches and team.  

I went up to my property to put the finishing touches on the place topping off the feeder and brushing in my blind a little more.  Was cutting some limbs and didn't notice the dead stump about 8 feet from me but I stirred up the yellow jackets!  One got me right on my right eyebrow and one on the wrist.  Killed a few more before they could get me.  I am thankful that the whole nest didn't get after me like they are known to do.  In the years I forgot how bad they hurt but now I remember.  My whole eyebrow still hurts!  I am just thankful that no one was there to see me run like a chicken with my head cut off. ;D  Next Friday I will have a little medicine for those suckers!  ;)

I have to say that if it wasn't for the screen pass Newton ran they may not have even sniffed the endzone.

Based off the body of work so far Vidor isn't going to stop Kirbyville.  Their defense is non existent.  They couldn't contain either team they have played so far and I am not sure either defense they have faced is as good as Kirbyville's as a whole.  Kirbyville will run away with this game in the 2nd half.

2 3/4 hrs to kickoff!  Can't wait to leave PA in 15 minutes to make the trek to Wildcat Stadium and the new pressbox!

That team was just loaded with talent the back ups were just as good as the starters that season. So folks just thought the starters were in. It's in the past and I think it's funny now, but 55-0 isn't running the score up?  I played in the game also and D. Walker, R. Gulley, Josh Harrell, & T. Kennebrew were all still in the game in the 2nd half.  Can't remember the several rb's they had but it wasn't pretty. ;D
