Much better preformace from K-ville on the defensive side of the ball for sure. WOS did have alot of penalties and mistakes but that is a potent offense and Kirbyville did a very good job against them. As for the offense they looked about the same but unable to break the big plays against the speed of the Stangs defense. Corrected to fumble problems early enough to get on track and compete with them. The Jasper game was all about the turnovers IMO. Kirbyville showed the ability to score against Jasper more so than WOS.

How many did penalties and yards lost did Kville have? Just curious So WO-S had 11? or 15? Kvile had like 6-50yds

I would take your moral victory and be happy with it and stop insulting the Stangs. If you watched the same game I did, you wouldn't want a "do over"... I wasn't insulting the stangs....see the smiley face???...just a joke....I am above that....just take it in stride....don't turn this into something it isn't! Oh yeah, I see that now. Easy Hoss. You guys played a great game and have a great team. You'll go along ways again in the Playoffs, WO-S has to work on the dumb Penalties, 15 or close to that. I would even say that beat down is a bit much Kvillefan...they did have a lot of dumb penalties as Coop said....WOS does have more work on after this game than Kville even though WOS won the game....there are plus' and minus' to everything.....even wins!

After the way Kville responded this week from last.....I expect the same from WOS and Hooks...I'll take the Stangs by at least 2 TD's

Whew! This game went from sloppy in the 1st to an all out toe-to-toe slugfest the final 3 qtrs. Kirbyville comes out of this game with much more than WOS! If Kirbyville continues to play like tonight they will be very hard to beat from here on out...write that down! Hats off to both teams for a great game. The 2pt conversion......sure looked like he and the entire pile was in from high in the sky....all things considered I was impressed with Kirbyville's D! They were flying all over the place and giving the Pony's (no quite Stangs after watching this one) ;D more than they wanted or were ready for.

Do I really need to get the stats for you on the K-ville/Jasper game??? K-ville had more yards rushing and passing than Jasper and trailed by one 1st down! IOW, more total yards and they couldn't sustain a drive???? : Ultimately, they shot themselves in the foot one (7 turnovers) too many times. That was the reason they lost that game. Not taking anything away from Jasper but take the turnovers away from K-ville and they probably would've run away with that game. But that's all in the past now. This game will be tight not just because of the weather....I strongly believe that Alvarez will have them well prepared.

I would be willing to bet that Alvarez worked on the fumble problem ALOT this week...Not down playing the fact but good coaches fix those problems. I expect a totally different Kville team this week. Focused! Will be a tough one but with the rain anything can happen.

Played against him in HS....was a great 3A player!

This could be a toss up with how Diboll has performed in their first 2 games....I'm still taking Newton.

So far it looks like there is some sloppy ball on tap for Friday night.....Come on Coop! Make it go to the hill country.....you and I both don't want this to happen friday night at DRH! Will you be able to get off Friday for the game?

I wouldn't include Jasper in this bunch. Coack Bickham has them running the triple option VERY well and will be a tough oppinent in their district or non district opponents. Not to mention an O-line that can flat out block!
