......I dont think kirbyville has any help (the coaches dont help getting to the next level except in football and favorites..) getting to the next level... ANY player that has ANY potential should not wait on ANYONE to promote them, you have to go get it, IMO its like a woman trying to get preg.....IF she don't expose herself its NOT gonna happen, with the internet today a player can findout most anything concerning tryouts, camps, ect.....IF you wait till your senior yr.>> you're LATE<< You are right about what you are saying, but when the parents have to schedule visits/tryouts with colleges something isn't right....especially when the colleges have sent letters and shown interest to the coach about said player. All the while the coach knowing what was going on and ignoring it because of their own self pride...not trying to stir the pot, just stating an incident.

Randy probably is doing something in football...This kids got potential in all sports......I dont think kirbyville has any help (the coaches dont help getting to the next level except in football and favorites..) getting to the next level...I've seen much potential going through KHS and small town drama gets caught in between the help of advancing...Just my two cents... All I will say is that myself along with 2 of my classmates went through this our Jr and Sr year @ Kville....

I have a gut feeling that the favorites will not come out on top this yr. I have no dog in this fight, but if I were to bet I would put my money on either tu or lsu....too close to call.

You ain't kidding Coop! I have a niece that will be a freshman at Carthage this fall and she currently stands 5'10 1/2"! She is a beast on the Volleyball court and @ high jump in track....I know that is different than football and baseball, but to have an AD like that is amazing. She's been invited to t.u.'s volleyball camp...that tells me what kind of people they have looking out for the athletes!

Going to head out there in the a.m. if any non-boater or anyone for that matter would like to join. Just going out to wet a line or 2 and enjoy the day off.

I heard this earlier....folks better the 2 yrs they have left to fish there and in the far east end of East Bay.

Though they may not have won the title, their defense was good enough to make it there and that is something worth noting. Walters, Jackson, and Hughey are big shoes to fill, but the majority of them were sophs and Jrs. They have bigger shoes to fill on offense. That is where they will have to make something happen even though they return 2 very good backs as I stated in an earlier post. Just don't expect then to be a slouch of a team. They have alot of experience.

You won't get an arguement from me on that, but don't sleep on them this year. Kirbyville will still be tough as nails. They are returning alot on defense along with 2 very good RB's. Though, as long as Newton stays healthy they will be tough.

Is the Sportsman back open at the 4 way stop? They carried live shrimp before the store was just about carried away by Ike. Sportsmans is closed since Ike. There is a place on 365 between West Port Arthur Rd. and 69. (not sure of the name but it is pretty close to W. Pt. Arthur Rd.). Does anyone know if Causeway Bait is up and running?

I am sure that his title is more than assistant(part of the fine print in the contract)....I'd be willing to bet that he is working hand in hand with Vanya as DC....just my .02

I would venture to say that Berkman is probably the safest of the 5 you mentioned. Something has to be done with the dang farm system. Drayton sold the farm to get to the world series and since then things have gone south. Everyone does know where Hunsicker is these days??? Try Sr VP of Baseball Ops for the Rays. Granted they aren't that hot right now but the farm system looks like the stros did before the run to the series! Stacked! Don't let Drayton fool you. He's already one of the richest owners next to the Steinbrenners but is as tight as a drum! As said earlier, CHEAP!!!!
