All of this cockyness will get you the same place you were this year. Losing where it matters most. Karma is a mo fo and you got it this year. How is it cockiness when someone states the facts that Kville throttled SA this yr with a running clock in the 2nd half? SA has a lot of work in getting a new coach with a new system, and having the players adjust to that system. That being said, Kirbyville will still have a VERY good running game and I don't see much change next yr.

If you dare to look at the team again 2 of the 3 Kirbyville players were on Offense...As far as Jackson only being an HM DB! That is a joke...he may not have had many INTs but I promise you that his presence was felt by opponents every week!

I signed the petition about 1 1/2 months ago. I am all for getting more youth into the outdoors, but at the sacrifice of the bowhunters is unacceptable! We only get 3 weeks to hunts without all the rifles in the woods and now they are talking about taking it away from us! I know that todays deer hunting is a money driven business, but it is getting out of hand! Us Texans are lucky to have the length of seasons that we do. Many states don't operate the way we do, and yet it is getting to the point where we will be like other states with VERY short seasons. That is the reason our state is so well known for hunting for the fact that MANY people from other states are coming all the way down here to hunt in our long season. Like the article stated. It probably won't hurt the big ranches on S Texas, and any other big ranch in the state, but there are more people in Texas that don't have the means to hunt these big leases and only get to hunt small private property that is surrounded by a lease. I for one am one of those who hunt small tracts of family land, but I am lucky enough to have family who is on a 10,000 acre ranch in Del Rio and get the chance to go out there maybe twice a yr, but that isn't where I do the bulk of my hunting. I've been 4 times and have only killed 3 deer, I get the majority of my venison from E Texas.

Last night I was thinking about that, and Trinity(5A) cam to mind. Yeah, usually some of the best teams make it all the way but there are times when a team is playing great ball and may be overachieving a little but if they win the title then they deserve all the credit in the world. Dangerfield is a good team as is Muleshoe, Kirbyville, RC, Arp, and a few others. Yes, it's all about matchups and trust me I UNDERSTAND matchups, and it is all a matter of opinion.

They couldn't have beaten Muleshoe! Their offense was unstoppable! It's all about matchups. Just because Kirbyville couldn't stop them, doesn't mean Dangerfield could not. I understand all about matchups. With that being said, if Kirbyville held onto the ball that game would've been close, and could've gone either way. The game against Muleshoe was tight midway through the 3rd qtr(21-20) all the while Kirbyville had 2 TO's that resulted in 14 pts for the Mules. I mean Kirbyville beat Newton 42-27 and Newton came all around beating Dangerfield. So, I can tell you that without a doubt Dangerfield wasn't the best team in 2A this year. One of the best, but not the best. Yes they won the DII title but I would like have sen them play Kirbyville.

Dangerfield-26 Cisco-8 Congrats to both teams on a great season. Newton has nothing to be ashamed of losing to the eventual state Champ after giving them all they could handle.
