  1. Blackshire is a good QB...big 4th down sneak for a 1st.
  2. I knew once I said something you would get worked up too! lol ;D
  3. The AP 2A All State Team...Ok I'll cool down a bit.
  4. It' official skipper! I just got really mad thinking about it again! Dang it, I said that I would let it go!
  5. Ok this is the last time I will complain about the 2A All State Team...How do these guys know about a "very good" Kirbyville team coached by Jack Alvarez, who went 3 rds deep in 3A last yr? Yet, the B.E. doesn't know too much!!!
  6. I like it when Coop gets worked up! ;D He gets funny.
  7. My sister called me and told me the score was 14-3, and I tuned in. How many turnovers does Carthage have? Just ask Kville about the turnovers. If we could have held onto the ball in that game I think we would have beat them!
  8. Should've known that he would call the final HS football game at Texas Stadium...Would've been neat if all state titles could have been played there...just no possible way to do it in 2 weeks. He is good though. I would call it a toss up, skipper...Celina is always good and Carthage is rolling right now. Carthage needs to take that first drive and be methodical with it for a TD and get the big MO back.
  9. Uh oh! TD Celina as time runs out in the half...18-14 halftime Who gets the ball to start the 2nd half?
  10. The same Craig Way that does t.u. games? What site?
  11. Good to hear them talking about a legend in Texas...RIP Sammy Baugh.
  12. Come on Bulldogs! I have a neice that goes to Carthage and she is at the game...wish I could have been there, but I got enough of the Big D last weekend!
  13. I'm still here also. Just a little quiter than we usually are.
  14. It's the same thing with the 2A all state team. Kirbyville makes it to the DI title game and only gets 3 in Hon. Mention...Not to mention that they had a lineman make the 3A team!
  15. Well put my friend! Couldn't have said it any better! Karma to you.
  16. So you are saying that the B.E. did everything they could to nominate the players? Please...look at what a former employee that did a good job with the sports in the 90's says about their coverage of HS football and sports in general! I don't know gdickert but I recognize his name from when he was there, and I can assure you that I have some old clipings from the 90's to prove what he did for HS football coverage. They dropped the ball on this one and many others in yrs past! Unlike others on this thread, I am making no claims about what they did or did not do. Simply asking what makes everyone so sure the Enterprise did not put players on the ballot. It may well be true they did not put players on the ballot. I just have seen no evidence that is the case yet many on this thread are acting as if that is a fact. It is entirely possible that SETX players were put up for vote and just did not get the votes that kids covered by larger market papers did. We know for a fact that Justin Allbritton, Stephen Alfred, Randy Musgrove, Aaron Hazlewood, Deoir McNeil, Robert Boykins, Kody Johnston, Cameron Mitchell, and Broderrick Jackson were all on the ballot. Someone put them there and for some reason I doubt it was the Dallas Morning News. Let me break it down for you! If you read the Boremont Noprise during the reg. season you didn't see much about all the schools outside the Golden Triange! They never had the stats from any of the games from small schools! And don't say that the economy had something to do with it! Now, maybe from time to time the would, but go look at www.chron.com and in the HS sports you can look up any team in the "greater" Houston area and wala! Kirbyville SEASON, and GAME stats are there! So please enlighten me as to how they can get the stats and the B.E. can't! And trust me, you can't get an Chronicle in Kirbyville! Ask anyone who lives there! I know there is no evidence that someone there didn't nominate them but if you dare to venture outside of this site there are plenty of people that knew about the players in question here! There is an old saying: "It's not what you know, but who you know", and I am sure that there are plenty of people around the state that work for AP papers who know about them! They have only been around for 3 years starting for Kirbyville!
  17. Going to be a good one and I wish that I could make this one. Both teams cruised in their semi games, but I am taking Carthage to pull it out.
  18. I have known this man for MANY years...Taught me and my siblings swimming lessons back in the day in Anahuac...Great guy and is on the track to move up in classification but from what I hear he took that job with intentions of being there a long time...Im sure that he is making some pretty good $ up there. Believe it or not they have got some money up there with the coal mines and a few others...Their facilities rival some of the best! Would be a great hire but I am not so sure that he would leave.
  19. Hey look! Im a 2nd team LB from EC! Bet you boys didn't see that one coming! ;D
  20. I had to highlight it and put the 2A in there just so that everyone on this site will see it! You guys are right! AP is a joke!

  22. Very well put jackhammer! I won't be surprised if you are right.
  23. I understand that but it still diminishes the fact some of these players had great reg. seasons and their local paper(Beaumont Enterprise) can't even nominate them. They have no clue what they are doing in the sports dept.!
  24. I didn't want to put my foot in my mouth but I thought that was how it worked. That was the case with Rhodes last year and again this year with a state runner up team. There is a reason it is known as the "Boremont Noprise"!
