Come on eagledad08, We mean nothing about the stands or pressbox in Newton! You have to admit that the pressbox on the visitor side is a tad small! But hey, I'm glad ya'll have one! I would say that I am suprised that with all the success of Newton's football program they don't have a little bit bigger stadium. Give it time and things will improve! With that LP plant down the road they might give a little and help out the cause! You should see Tatum's stadium! VERY nice!

If you care to even read the entire thread you will notice that I said that Newton will put points on the board! What we say on this site doesn't matter a dang bit! All that matter's is what happens come Fri. night!

For once Kville is rated ahead of Newton and the fans are considered cocky! Not so much fun when you are in the others shoes is it! The whole point about Kville's D isn't the run D or the pass D seperately! It is the unit as a whole!!! Their D is every bit as strong as their offense! This is something that has plagued Kville for the last couple of years, but this year it has all come together! This game is about this year not the previous 30-40!

The DB's aren't the only part of the pass D! The LB's are animals when it comes to getting to the QB!

OK!!! Like others have said you must not have seen the pass defense that Kville has! Just ask everyone who has tried to throw the ball against them! Newton's QB better be able to take plenty of hits!

I know that this is all rumors but I know for a fact that Alverez has purchased some land just outside of Kville with plans to build a new house in the near future! What type of house is anyone's guess? Just thought that I would throw that monkey wrench into the threat!

The thing is you can look at each teams body of work and basically throw it out the window! Now that being said! I would say that Kville has a better team, but having played in this game before it doesn't matter what each team is like because it is going to be physical in all aspects! Kville will put up plenty of points, but all Kville fans better expect Newton to put more points on the board than they expect! I like Kville in this game simply on the fact that I don't think Newton will quite be able to hang with them the entire game!

Tough to say! Most likely a grind it out 48 mins.....but very easily can be a high scoring game! Heck, who's knows? Guess we'll all find out in 4 days!!!

We all can agree this is going to be an entertaining game whoever wins! I can't wait to be sitting in the "deer stand" pressbox on the Kville side broadcasting this game! Gonna be a hum dinger!

Ratliff Stadium is a place I want to see a game at one of these days! It goes hand in hand with Texas Stadium as one of the most recognizable if you're from Texas!

I can understand the loaction with it being a 2A bi-district game, but the date puzzles me! :-\

Rudy and Friday Night Lights are too close to call. Rudy for the simple fact that it is about every kids dream of playing for their fav. college team! Friday Night Lights because if you played football in Texas HS you and only you can relate to it! Thorton's half time speech was one of the greatest! The book was also great! Left the theatre in tears because I remember that last game of my life!!!

Barbay is real conservative. He doesn't reveal his hand before he places his bet if you know what I mean. Its obvious your not real farmiliar with Newton. I have seen them pull their starters in the first quarter. And Barbay could care less about nondistrict game wins or losses. He has enough W's on his resume. By the way, Alvarez might run the score up on every team he beats, but Barbay has class. That is funny! I have a very good memory of playing Newton for the final game in the fall of 98 when before the game the Newton players went to the middle of their field and told the entire Kville team and fans that they were going to win state and they had two words for us! As the wrestling group used to say; They said we could "SUCK IT"!!!! Sorry Mods! And then your beloved Barbay preceided to run the score up to 55-0! I know that Kville stunk that year, but for some reason Newton played their starters the entire game!!! You call him conservative! HA! That's funny! Karma has it's way! And it works both ways!

Kville has outscored their district foes 219-27 so far! I know that there is a big difference between Kville/Newton and the rest of district but this defense that Kville has is running on all cylinders, and on fire!

We seem to have hit a nerve here fellas! ;D Now he can't stop saying that Kville will win the game! He has just about forgotten the game and is crying for Newton to beat Kville! As far as Arp. So what if they are ahead of Kville! The poll that counts really doesn't matter until the final game is played and the season is over! If Arp, or Kville, or whoever is on top! doesn't really matter! I would expect a little better from someone who supports a team that won the state championship a few years ago!

We'll see about that! Don't underestimate Kville's D...because when they stop SA offense on just about every drive their D is gonna get pretty dang tired after being on the field all night! Kville's D is the key that you are leaving out! Kville only had 15 on the board at the half last week and exploded for 35 on the 2nd half!

You say this when SA only beat Hemphill 28-24, and Shelbyville by 33-14! While Kville beat Hemphill 54-6, and Shelbyville 61-7! Explain to me that only Kville has played teams that "sucked" in district; when Kville has played these teams and blew them out; while SA had their hands full wth Hemphill and somehow beat Shelbyville by 19!!! Please feel free to explain!
