Of course it was not a fluke. It was a loss. For Jasper. First time around it was a loss also. For HJ. Does not prove anything except the two teams are pretty evenly matched. I wish HJ the best, but my first interest is Jasper's winning each week, regardless of who Jasper is playing. What happened in district is history.

And how about the fluke on the first meeting? ;D

The season IS over for several teams.

Picking a three game series against BC is smart. A team would not be smart to hang the whole season on beating Stringer in a one game playoff. (Unless you only have one pitcher, then what the heck.)

I don't know anything about Bellville so I will not try to guess. But it would be huge for District 21-3a if our 3rd place team takes out their first place team. I do expect that HJ will give them a run for their money.

As a homer, let me say Jasper wins the first two games by two run margins. ;D I usually predict Jasper to win by one, but it is now time to step up the effort!

Photo by Michael Love Jasper Bulldog Baseball Player Jaylon Clotiaux was up walking around on Wednesday morning and may be moved to a regular room late Wednesday evening or early Thursday according to a family member. He continues to undergo treatment in the at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont and showing more improvements each day. The eighteen-year-old high school senior suffered a head injured shortly before 4:00 on Monday afternoon while making a diving catch on a fly ball near the brick, striking his forehead above his right eye. Jaylon, is the son of Reagan and Faith Clotiaux, was treated at the scene by Stat-Care EMS and then transported by and Air Rescue helicopter directly from the field to the Beaumont hospital.

I don't know anything about Liberty, but how can you pick against HJ? They are having a charmed season. However, Liberty could have an advantage in a best 2 out of 3 because HJ surely is a bit tired right now. I pick HJ to win though, regardless of the format.

I don't think it is likely that Jasper will de-throne WOS. I do think it is a good possibility that Jasper will be in the hunt for one of the playoff spots.
