1. This is tough beyond comprehension. I love watching the game of football, but know that possible tragedy is always just one step away. Clearly, this will be a very tough thing for his family, the WO-S fans, and everyone involved to work through. Speaking from a long memory, Jasper was on the other end of something like this over 50 years ago. Twice in two years. I would say it took the town years to heal, but I am not sure the healing is completely done. This sad event in Orange brought back some tough memories for me as surely as had it been a Jasper player. Orange, best wishes in dealing with your unspeakable loss.

 3.
7-6 Porter in the second quarter.
come on Huntington!!
 4.
Hey, how did you get the thing over the ''N''? I've eaten at Margarita's too. Didn't know there was one in Conroe.....mine was in Round Rock. still think Chuy's is better.  ;D
chuy's is definitely better imo.
 5. If you want good, really good (& not chain). Check out their menu: [Hidden Content] 4 miles West of I-45, on Hwy 105 5901 W. Davis Conroe Texas 77304 936.760.3386 Made my first visit Sunday (after hearing about it for years).  Had the blackened catfish.  Excellent.  This is a place where you may have to wait a few minutes just to get seated.  But it is worth it! Patrons we asked while waiting said everything on the menu is good.  One recommended their "Good Pie".  Tried it.  and it WAS good.
 6. It is more entertaining to listen to the fans in the crowd than to watch the game. If the team is in the spread, then they should be ramming the ball down the other team's throat.  If they are ramming, then they should be spreading. I did see this Friday night.  Toward the end of the first half and toward the end of the game the team went into hurry up mode, spread style.  What the stats do not show is that at the half the half ended with Jasper on the Livingston one yard line.  The game ended with Jasper around the Livingston five yard line.  In both cases it appeared to me that they just went into the hurry up mode too late.  Those dogs can move the ball when they flare it out.  They are going to explode on somebody before this year is out.  The thing that impressed me is that for the most part it appeared that Jasper was running true two platoon football with some 41 players suited out.  Hadn't seen that at Jasper for years.  Once Jasper gets to playing 3a teams that could make a huge difference. Coaches are human.  They try things.  Some things work, some don't.  In the end, they are survivalists.  They will find what works and use it.  I am confident that the current Jasper coaches will be no different.
 7.
Score?
Yeah!  either team score?  how much?  ???
 8. going to be a hard workout for Jasper.
 9.
What was the final?
Pearland White wins 10-0 over Jasper Congrats to a great Jasper run!
 10. It would take a major miracle to get this passed.  Never know though.....  :o
 11.
The thing is with these two teams, they are either really good or really bad.  You just never know.  I have seen Jasper play in a State game and the next few years can't beat Liberty.  BH dismantled Lumberton year after year, then along comes Beard and a good QB and they make a good run.  That's whats fun about this game, things change and as fans it's more fun NOT to admit it....  ;D I'll go with Jasper because they have more tradition.
once again, 89 strikes!  :o
 12. Ty deserved this after that phenomenal play on the bunt in front of the plate.  The runner to second seemed to not believe that he had been thrown out!  Congratulations Ty!
 13.

Yea i can throw but you know we is a smash mouth running the ball right at you offense but yea i can throw the ball
Isn't it against team rules to be posting on these sites? The players shouldn't be reading this crap - save it for us fans.
it is probably NOT a player.  I trust that the coaches will check it out and get it stopped if it really is Jasper players posting here.
 14.
Well in that case i wish the best of luck to Jasper in the state tournament.  ;)
There it is!  The fix is in!  ;D :)

 16.
Jasper is well prepared playing Orangefield and Bridge City, especially seeing a pitcher in Hicks category, twice. I can't see them being nervous or intimidated by any team. Let's hope they continue playing well and bring home that State Championship.
True, and Jasper played some other good 3a teams along the way.  Carthage, Hudson, Crockett, and Burnet were not exactly chopped liver.  (Sorry liver lovers!  ;D)
 17.

I am all for Jasper winning, but has anyone actually seen Giddings play, or are these just gueses. Everyone predicted that BC would beat Jasper, then everyone predicted that Orangefield would beat Jasper...maybe we should pick against them. They seem to like the underdog role. Giddings has only given up 4-or 5 runs in the playoffs. There two best pitchers are studs, plus they were in Austin last year as well. I am hoping for a Dawg win....I think if they can get thru the semis, that the finals might be an easier game.
Don't worry everyone did the same thing the year Jasper won it all.  Abliene Wylie was just too good.  Jasper 10 run ruled them.  LE was the defending state champs with the whole team back.  Jasper nearly run ruled them too.  Jasper prefers the underdog role.
Yeah, Abliene Wylie had THREE strong pitchers.  Jasper had the worst record at state.  4th seed.  Didn't quite run rule them because Abliene Wylie scored in the bottom of the inning to prolong the game.  Final Jasper 11-3.  Ditto for LE.  Had a player drafted in Major League draft in fifth round the day that Jasper played them.  Pitcher had lost only one or two games.  Final Jasper 14-4.  25 runs in two days from a team that had "no chance".  And in theory at least against the best 3a teams in Texas. True, Jasper may fall flat on Wednesday night.  It has happened.  But it is way too soon to write off the 2010 Dogs!  :)
