and perhaps a 4a district or two. Seriously. I watched Houston Scarbourough play Huntsville yesterday. Poor Scarbourough got one runner on base for the two games they played, and that was on a walk. Yesterday, they didn't even get that. And they were their district champions. Huntsville is good, but not THAT good. Jasper beat them 9-5 in the Jasper tournament.

Bellville did do something today not many teams have ever done. They picked both Hart and Bronson off first in the same game. Of course, ultimately it did them little good. Just may have kept the margin a little closer and perhaps kept them from being ten-run ruled. On the other hand, Bellville hurried some throws and made errors trying to beat Jasper's speed. Those things seem to even out over time.

now five games in a row. this is the longest current winning streak in District District 21-3a.

True. I agree with you Hup. It is just hard sometimes to follow where folks are from. Apparently some of the posters I was thinking about may just have been from the area rather than from Tarkington. And you know, it should all be in fun. I try to poke a little fun sometimes. If I offended anyone, I apologize. Didn't doubt you at all, but I thought there might be a little tounge in cheek humor there. Jasper played them last year, and had a pretty good idea what to expect. I think Bellville is a well coached team. I also think Jasper will finish them off tonight. From what I have read, Bellville has one more ace pitcher. Last year, after Tallerine, it all went downhill for Bellville. Jasper took his best shot last night, and won.

I wondered about that. From where we were sitting it appeared he threw it completely out of the stadium. It was not like he just threw it on the ground. But he was their starting pitcher. Coach not going to throw him out.

Don't have anything against Tarkington. Tarkington has a very good team. They played hard. Just wondered where all their fans went. You know, when Jasper loses a game to another team, I usually get on the Board and congratulate that team for their victory. Most of our district opponents do the same. Thank you for pulling for Jasper. By the way, most of those "arrogant" posters were not from Jasper. They were just folks who had great confidence in the Jasper team. And no matter how good you are, some days you win, and some days you lose. Even the great NY Yankee teams would lose a game now and then. Good luck to Tarkington in the future.

Yes, Hart is BACK! He was drilling the ball tonight. It was like old times. When Hart is hitting, things just seem to fall into place for the Dogs. Congrats Dogs!
