I had high hopes for this team this year, but after moving up a classification and hearing of the number of injuries, I believe they may have a rough season.

I think that is a bold prediction for Crosby to be ranked that high with the smallest enrollment number in all of 5a D1.

Where can I find PNG t-shirts ?  It would be even better if they were band shirts.  We have a trip planned to Disney in a few weeks and I would love to show my support while there.  I’m not going to lie, I would never wear them again, but it would make me happy to wear it EVERYDAY while there.

If the numbers hold firm and Crosby does move up to 5A-D1 it’s been a hell of a 10 year run. Oddly enough it was bookended by embarrassing playoff losses to the slot-T. Considering where we came from I’ll gladly take 3 regional titles and a trip to the finals. 
 

Back when the UIL split 5A I said Crosby would be in of the biggest benefactors mans we were. We finished one game shy of playing all 32 this last realignment. Now we may move into the deepest division in THSF. I’m looking very forward to seeing how we respond next year. 

That’s exactly right.  Crosby played in 31 games in two years. That’s more than a lot of schools play in 3 years.  Great season Crosby !

It amazes me how many idiots that have been playing basketball for the last several weeks make stupid comments.

They will return more than they lose. 

Hopefully Crosby gets it done.  Either way, the Cougars have proved a lot of people wrong on this site that said the “stars just aligned right” for them last year.  They’ve definitely done better than I was hoping this year after losing so many starters. Next year should be exciting.

They all are General Admission tickets and no they won’t specify home or visitor. But if you want to sit with the good guys, we are Visitors. 

Well, it’s no secret what Liberty Hill’s offense is going to do, it’s just a matter of stopping it. MaxPreps has them 9 for 27 with 190 yards passing all year, but rushing for over 5,000 yards.  I just hope the coaches have a game plan to stop them. 

I haven’t seen it mentioned yet, but the State semi-final games have 3 head coaches, former & present from Crosby:

Flannigan (Tomball)

Rio (Chappell Hill)

Prieto (Crosby)

Karma is right. When it comes to flops to get a timeout, Karl Malone and Lebron James don’t have $hit on Texas High !  With all those fake injuries, they got about 20 timeouts. 

Crosby offense needs to clean up the penalties. I don’t know how many false starts we’ve had. SMH.

You are correct he is different from the AMC back who is a power back. He is a patient back. Some backs run full speed to the called hole in the line. He is patient for the holes to open and is deceptively strong. He is a quality back and his backup is a tough runner. Our OL is down a step from last year and they are going to open up some holes. I do expect the Tigers to try to have sustained drives to reduce the number of possessions the Cougar offense has and to keep the defense rested. The AMC RB is not a power back. He was a small quick back that ran around the corner that the o-line sealed off. Once he got to our secondary, he was taken down by one of our defenders. Sometimes having to run him down. But definitely not a power back.

the ints were nothing special, the freshman qb got away with a bunch of prayers against BH. If they played again that wasn’t gonna happen regardless of who the opponent was.  That kid is gonna be good but he isn’t ready yet. 
 

And don’t tell me about being up double digits with 5 minutes left..it’s irrelevant and Crosby was again one onside kick from possibly losing the game which was a much different story than the 28 Pt non competitive games most Crosby fans were predicting.

I never make predictions because it is young high school players and anything can happen. In the end, Crosby got the win and is playing in the regional finals.  These are just more practices and games for next years squad to get a leg up on everyone else.

Agree, but their odds do get better as the number of teams left in the bracket get smaller. 

Whatever the outcome of this game, Crosby has far exceeded my pre-season expectations. They are a young team and have a ton returning, as well as a good group coming up. I know a lot of people say that about their team for the next season, but for us, it’s the TRUTH !
