This might get ugly if we keep playing around.

Here is my understanding as to what the situation is:
1. The ruling by the DEC was based upon an internal investigation by the BISD into allegations made to district AD's earlier in the week about an ineligible player.
2. The controversy centered around a Jaguar who began the season with insufficient credits to be eligible.
3. By UIL rule, if a player begins the season with ineligible credits, he is ineligible for the first six weeks of the school year. If the student is passing after the first six weeks, he regains his eligibility.
4. By the timeline, which was established after conferring with the UIL in Austin, the student in question would not have been eligible to play for Central until the Oct. 13th game against Nederland.
5. The student, backup/special teams player, played in 3 district games while ineligible, 9/20 vs. Memorial, 9/26 vs. Vidor, and 10/7 vs. Ozen. 2 of those games, Central lost so no forfeit was required there. But as Central defeated Ozen 49-14, they had to forfeit that game.
6. The DEC unaniously determined that there was no intent by Central to play an ineligible player. However, playing an ineligible player is a ZERO tolerance violation so the forfeiture was mandated.
Does this mean you are going to have to go back and correct the "pick'ems" for the Central vs Ozen game ?

I heard earlier this week, 2 teams from 22-5A were being investigated and that both would heard on sometime before Friday night. 1 of the teams I knew about was Central. Turns out to be correct. There has been no update on the 2nd team, but it was a current playoff team. Hoping for no more bad news today.
A 2nd playoff team ? If this keeps up there is a chance Lumberton might get in.

If those stats are accurate, then i would have to lean jaiden. That sure seems low on passing yards for Cooper. Didn't realize Jaiden only has 3 picks. Impressive. Do you have stats on BH QB holland?
These stats are what this site has posted and pinned at the top titled "Individual offensive statistics".

Thanks y'al too. Really, they are close, NC QB tends to have success running as well. He seems to be a little more accurate than Jaiden, I think NC leans on their QB more than Crosby needs Jaiden, and NC QB is a senior. I'm no professional scout though.
I might have thought that at the beginning of the season but not now.
Cooper: 72-111 for 1059 yds. 8 TD, 4 int. 64% completion. 691 rushing, 6.4 per carry.
Howard: 128-198 for 2101 yds. 20 TD, 3 int. 64% completion. 459 rushing, 8.5 per carry.
I'll take Jaiden's 2,560 total yards over a 1,750 total any day. His rushing stats are as high because he hasn't needed to run.

I would love to see Crosby play PAM, now that would be a fun one to watch.
Nah, that whole ref discussion would start over again.

The question is craigs avaliability in my opinion. If this game doesn’t effect playoff seed i expect a large dose of solis this week and thats gonna be pretty brutal on NC lb core because that kid is a bttering ram. I don’t think NC has an answer for the passing game if Woodard is back i predict our offense will move it well even if craig isn’t in the game.
I don't see Craig or Woodard playing in this game. Just my opinion.

I'm curious to see how Porter approaches this game. No matter what they are going to be D1 in the playoffs. i guess if they win, with a KPark win, they could be the #1 seed. After watching the game Friday against New Caney, it looks like if you blitz Porter every play it totally messes their offense up.

If you have a child in the band, cheerleader, drill team, football team, rotc, etc., there is no excuse for not being there on a consistent basis. Every one of those kids has atleast one parent.

The question is can NC get a couple defensive stops and a turnover or two. I believe NC will be able to score on Crosby. Will Sqwirl play this week is also a question. He got dinged up a little this week. Will he be held out to get healthy for playoffs. Take him out of the equation also helps NC.
Those are the same things that I was wondering. Although, the backup RB is a hard runner that also averages about 8 yards per carry. I just don't know how either team is going to take this game because honestly, it doesn't really matter.

Here is another way this could play out. If NC beats Crosby, Porter beats BH, KPark wins and gets in. This scenario would make Crosby the DII #2 seed playing PNG in the first round. To me that's not a bad thing. The winner of the first round would have it pretty easy after that in the 2nd round.

New Caney will not stand a chance against Crosby. Just sayin
You never know. Crosby has several players out hurt. Williams left early in the third quarter this week with his arm in a sling. Crosby has already clinched a share of the district championship. The game really doesn't matter, but I'm sure both teams aren't looking at it like that.

After NC lost to BH, I thought Porter might have a chance. I guess not.
