I got Crosby 7-3, with BH winning the district right now in June. Last year they improved tremendously with "not much speed" and that dude can flat out coach. Realistically I don't think many saw them making that jump last year and now he's had a full school year. Not looking forward to that week 1 matchup. The goal on this side of the river this year is avoid PAM and PNG in the first round. You get either one of them and it is 1 and done.
What "jump" did BH make ? Didn't they finish fourth in district ? I don't see that as a jump and I sure don't see them winning district this year.

I know we are gonna be young but I was talking with a lady from the hill who said they lost a lot of seniors as well.
I heard that also, that's why I wondering.

I know this is a Dayton thread, but what makes people think BH is going to be that good ?

That is correct. The hitter is out if one or both feet are out of the box at contact. Only if Blue sees it and calls it!!
Your right about only if they call it. Seems like it would be an easy call for the third base umpire.

Watching the college softball games. Do the left-handed slap hitters have to have both feet in the batters box when they hit the ball ?

I'll admit if I'm wrong, I promise I'll be the first one.
But jv talent doesn't always translate.
if they were so good then why weren't they staters last year on such a poor varsity team?
most teams are playing their jv on 7 on 7 from what I've read, so y'all are basically just beating a bunch of underclassmen.

Actually I basically have BH, Crosby, and NC finishing in a 3-way tie for the DC.
I guess everyone looks at things different. Crosby returns a lot this year, 4 out of 5 of the o-line, a healthy Craig Williams, and a junior QB that should have been the starter last year. BH still has no speed.

Barbers Hill 9-1, going 3 rounds deep in the playoffs for an 11-2 season.

Crosby 8-2 goes 2 rounds deep to go 9-3.
By these predictions, you're saying Crosby will lose to BH. I don't see that happening but I guess anything is possible. I don't see Dayton making the playoffs either.

Winning state titles comes with the price of scheduling conflicts

Like grad said, the biggest problem is having to play 6 non-district games. Most schools only play 2-3 and at most 4. That leaves them looking for other schools that only have 4 or 5 teams in their district to schedule with. I think all districts should have at least 8 teams, especially if you're going to take 4 to the playoffs.
