I know regarding Angleton, their division is not yet decided. Could know more after Friday Night who will be in the playoffs in alot of the Districts.

I think the Purple Pride Indian Band and Indianettes are going to be exhausted after this Friday night. Cherokee will be played so often that the Panthers will have nightmares when they lay their heads down on their pillows after the game. They may need counceling the next day from the repeated pounding of the Indians drums !!!  Lets Go PNG Defense !!! get you your first shut out this year !!!!

DC is a RE RE !!!!!! how in the He$& can PNG and Central not be rated in his little so called rankings. Dude who the heck hit you in the head ? Really who from around here pissed in your cherrio's ? OK so my rant is almost over. DC's picks from his magazine have never seemed to be correct. His predictions are usually way off most of the time. PNG and Central in my opinion are both top 10 teams in the state of TEXAS !!!!!!!!

The playoffs are a far different (season) from a regular District season. All the teams in the playoffs had to do something right and do it good to be where they are. To me rankings in the playoffs mean nothing. Its what happens on the field that counts. Win and you keep playing, lose and your out. The playoffs is where the wheat is separated from the chaff. You have to play almost mistake free football to win, you have to play off of shear determination, commitment, and will power. (alot more could be listed). I believe you put in the 4 teams from 20-4A you will have 4 teams with nothing but heart !!! Great coaches, great players, great fans. Our district teams will make alot of noise in the playoffs, cannot say who will go the furtherest, but when its all said and done there will be respect for our District. Last year no one even thought Central would go as deep as they did against the teams they had to play, and guess what, they beat them and kept advancing. I pulled for Central as they made their run. I would expect anyone from this area to pull for any of the teams making the playoffs regardless of who they are or what classification they are in. We all need to show the rest of the state that SouthEast Texas is a area that has some of the best athletes in the state, best coaches in the state and best following of fans in the state. On another note: alot can change going into the playoffs and while in the playoffs. Injuries and grades. Just keep that in the back of your mind. I really do hope that not a single player from our area gets injured or ends up ineligible because of grades.

This game could be a mud bowl friday night. Rain today and predicted rain on Thursday and into Friday. Could make the game even more interesting. Would enjoy watching this game, but gonna be at the REZ.

I truly know that if it came down to having to stop a team for a win that PNG would be right in there in the top 3 defenses. Defenses win Championships. PNG just held Lumberton to 6 points. approx 20 yards rushing. I know lumberton is 1-4 but they are a good young team. They have a good passing attack. PNG held Vidor to 13 points, they were a majority rushing team. Lumberton was more balanced, but passed alot. So I would have to go with PNG right now in local 4A. WB in 5A. The PNG and Central game will prove who has the better D in 20-4A. If this game turns out to be what its made out to be in 2 weeks, ESPN needs to be there !!!!! lol

Souja I believe that neither Central nor PNG are in Dave Campbells top 25. I could be wrong as of today, but I beleive that his poll last week didn't show any of us in there. I think he likes to hate on this area for some reason.

Central should win this one. They will pull away in the second half. Unless of course the announcer in Livingston dosen't make all the players sick to their stomachs !!! lol... The announcer gets annoying, but after a quarter or so you learn to ignore her. Bring lots of OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Being a mid county folk and supporter, I want Big Ned to go to the playoffs. Nederland has a huge task to beat Vidor. They will have to play lights out football and stop Vidors running game. How was the Nederland D against Livingston ?

I have to agree, see all the Lumberton fan's running out was very disappointing. Fans need to understand how it makes the players and cheerleaders, band, drill team etc... feel. Not bashing the Lumberton fans, I've seen it at other games as well. To help develope a great program the fans have to be there whether winning or losing, rain or shine, hot or cold, old coach or new coach. Its called support and pride. One thing that gets under my skin are fair weather fans....... I think you know what I'm talking about. Lumberton will be there next year. Your team has talent and alot of heart. They didn't give up Friday night. They played until the final whistle.

Looks like the 4th playoff spot is between Ozen and Nederland. Hate to say it but Ozen more than likely has the upper hand over Nederland.

When you go to the area game after a Bi-District game, do you play a team from a different District or the team that won in your division from either your own District or the District you played ? Curious ?
