Which of our area 4A teams do you think had the strongest pre-district schedule ? (strength of schedule for pre-district)

No way will LCM win at the REZ !!! If PNG gets their offense firing on all cylinders for the whole game PNG may pull away in the second half !

This is funny ! LCM beats a few 3A teams and now they think they are going to be super bowl champs !!!

I think sushi is overrated !!! I tried it but didn't like it much. My kids think its the greatest thing since sliced bread ! Me, Naw I don't like it. It's way to overrated ! Now if you want to talk steak then I'm game. Heck even BBQ Ribs slow cooked all day long in a pit ! Now thats not overrated !!!

Wow +10 for PNG in turnovers. Also looks like PNG has a very balanced offensive attack. What the heck are you guys in Vidor doing ? Thats alot of yards for rushing with 3 backs. Great Job. I think the rest of the state had better take a hard look at our district and realize that we are all on the upswing and making a come back as very strong competitors ! The playoffs this year, regardless of who goes will be good for 20-4A !!!!

This will be interesting to see how the rankings will change after the 25th !!!!

And to add to this..... alot of the boys on our JV team this year will be joining the Juniors who are on the varsity team this year next year. And to add..... these boys will all have a good solid year under Faircloths system. This will be a very dangerous team next year to contend with. This years team is great and next years will be great too !!!! Doty is a Junior this year, several of the linemen are Juniors this year on Varsity and the JV line is HUGH as well. The JV running back is a powerful and very fast, quick runner. They also have some tall receivers ! Looks good all around. The Freshmen this year are not doing so well, but I've seen vast improvement in their 3 games. They will be good too real soon. They have some good size as well and one heck of a running back. One thing I realized today...The JV and Varsity kids all got to go through Spring drills and practices with coach Faircloth. They learned the new system early and were laid down the expectations before August. They are combined 6 wins and 0 losses. The Freshman did not get to go through Spring ball and are all new to the Faircloth system. And it shows.If this is not a testiment to spring practice? Amen to the whole spring practice option. The Freshmen team will pick up on the system over this bye week and come into the district ready to win some games and take it to who they are playing that week.

PNG'S offense didn't seem to be firing on all cylinders last night in my opinion. The D was playing their A game. I think if the O was on top of its game it would have been a blow out. The ref's were some of the worse I have ever seen in a football game. TC did nothing but hold all night long on both sides of the ball. The TC TD in the endzone, pass, their reciever pushed off big time and the ref was right there and didn't call it. Their was a few scuffles on the field as well. Talked to one of the players this morning and he said their team was mouthing off and crap like that. One of the fights was created by the TC player with a very late hit and a shove on the PNG player. The refs called it a off setting penalty, BS !!!! It looked like to me the TC player was throwing punches at the PNG player. The refs totally sucked and I hope no one in our district gets these inept refs for any of their games. These refs need to go home and hang up their officiating wardrobe !!! The kid from TC who blocked all those kicks was lined up offsides. I was down at the endzone when one was blocked and the kid was about a half yard over the ball. His head and shoulders were both blocking the view of the ball and yet the ref didn't call it !!! No excuses for the game, but dang that officiating crew really was bad !!!

Heck it looks like a spiral formation just to the west of us ! Sorry not a meteorologist.

The real test for Vidor will start in the District. Who cares about pre-season games. I feel they are glorified scrimmages to work out the kinks and test new things. These games hold no ground for District standings and the playoffs anyway. When our district play starts is were we will all see the seperation of who has it together and who doesn't ! Enjoy the wins in pre-season and get ready to truly strap it on when district play starts. Thats were every team will have to prove themselves regardless if its Vidor, Lumberton, PNG, Central etc. Its gonna be a great season for alll of us fans. Most competitive I've seen in a long time for our District.

Have to agree 100% with that one !!! If the games do get cancelled at least they are not District games.

That one model isn't the best in the world, just interesting it has been consistant in showing a Depression or Storm near us the last few days. It would move ashore early Saturday IF it's right, all the other models say no. ok so what do you think the chances of this forming and coming ashore around here are ?

What time does Home Depot and Lowes open tomorrow ? I need to be there when they open to buy up all the wood available to build an ARK !!! (If thats the case with the rain amounts expected) Good thing my flood insurance is up to date !!! Lets all pray for a reprieve in the rain come tomorrow around 4 pm and Friday around 5 pm !!!

I truly hate to hear of another player injuring their knee. Kirby I truly do hope you heal your knee fast. My dad is a big Nederland fan and he was so upset when this injury occurred. I myself have had both of my knee's injured in football and had to have 2 acl surgery's.. Old days was opening your knee wide open, but today is alot different with only 3 small incisions for orthoscopic surgery. If you do have surgery in this manner you will be back on your feet in no time at all rehabing ! Don't let any injury get you down ! You have a very big future in front of you ! This will not set you back for college ! Above all I truly do hope you don't have a major injury and that it is only a minor injury and that you will be back on the field in no time at all. We will keep you in our prayers !!! Keep your head up and stay positive and you will be just fine. God Bless !

I wasen't totally impressed but there were some bright spots and some great plays. I think as he stated in the PA news article, that there are things to work on and that this game is not a district game. I think even in Nederlands situation, these are games that are or should be used to work and make adjustments in the team and practice on the things that didn't or are not working as they should. PNG and Faircloth have 2 more games to make adjustments and get the team more comfortable with his offense. Remember all the boys were use to Burnett's offense. So yeah there is some time needed to make adjustments in a real game situation. PNG should will be ready when district comes around.

What do you expect the FAN attendance to be for PNG's first home game this year ?

Our JV looked pretty good against Memorial last week. JV QB is a big kid 6'4" Freshman needed some work. Good God! What are they feeding these kids ;D Freshmen will be just fine for this game. I know in the scrimmage they were very nervous. The freshmen team has a lot of talent running around on the field. The coaches have put in some OT with the freshmen this week. In the PAM scrimmage the first team didn't play much before the weather delay. I think their offense played maybe 8-12 plays and were mostly running the ground game and they moved the ball well. The D did fairly well in this short time span. On the D the coaches rotated several players in the huddle to see what they could do. PAM started bombarding the freshmen when they put in the second team against PAM first team. I was beginning to wonder what the cities have been putting in the water here in Groves and Port Neches myself !!! LOL ! Some of these boys are Hugh !!! I think the o line for the Freshmen team is averaging around 215 lbs ! One kid is around 250 lbs. All the others are around 210 + ! The freshman running back is small but he plays like he is 6' 5" and 240 lbs !!! He has alot of heart and a never give up attitude ! We have some tall receivers as well. I think the freshman team should be just fine now ! The JV should be as good this year as they were last year as a Freshman team or yet even better than they were last year. The JV looked solid on the offensive side. The D had alittle to work on, but I believe they will do great thru the season and especially the district. I really enjoy watching the practices and the intensity that the coaches put forth into these men. The teams really respond well to the coaches and what they are teaching them. The whole mentality of the program has changed and goes to the freshmen level of play. PNG is definitely building a solid program from the youth up ! PNG in my opinion should have a fully reloaded team every year from here on out for years to come. Coach Faircloth is the real deal in my view. He wants to win and he brought in coaches who want to win and who also have a winning history with the teams they coached at before PNG !!! To be successful you have to surround yourself with winners ! Faircloth has done that for himself with the new coaches, and in turn it surrounds the players with winners as well. Just a philosophy!
