  1. No I think that is wrong, Josh Mitchell hit like 10 his Jr year and that was the most hit by any hitter that came out of lumberton. I don't know where your getting your information from becasue I am getting mine from Brevell.
  2. They were good, I'll say this out of all those guys Mitchell had to be the best hitter out of all of them that guy hit like 10 Hrs in one season and I rememer when he hit 2 in one game against stutes and Long in one game the guy could hit and I didn't understand why he never hit in college
  3. At PNG its either Jesse cooksey or Kyle stutes........Bridge City is a no brainer Dan Fletcher, Nederland- Brad Sullivan......I know what wade did but Mitchell put up just as better stats in college then wade did except for the fact mitchell didn't get drafted because of arm trouble.....and Mitchell put up way better stats then wade did in HIGH School..Its either Buchholz or Mitchell the way you look at........
  4. We are talking about best pitchers to come out your school who put up the numbers in there high school career. If your talking about Wade White he was good but in high school he didn't pitch alot he played more outfield than anything. Mitchell and tate pitch from there freshman season till there senior season and thats very impressive. Maybe if Mitchell didn't pitch all those years he wouldn't have had arm trouble who knows, But when someone says he has had 2 surgeys and still put up good numbers in a good juco conference and at the Div 1 level thats impressive. It doesn't matter if your drafted or not. In my mind Mitchell was good enough to get drafted but arm problems kept him from being drafted thats just plain and simple. I seen the guy pitch all through out high school and thats just my opinion. But being drafted doesn't mean anything becasue those things happen. We are talking about the best pitcher that was the best for there school in high school and I think its either Tate, Mitchell, or Buchholz becasue those 3 guys put up gaudy numbers and if you want to go ny overall numbers and get hitting involve then it was Mitchell becasue he put up big time numbers hitting througout his high school career.
  5. Didn't mitchell get new comer of the year is freshman year???? Also I know he was a heck of a hitter to becasue he killed us when Dustin Long senior year. Yeah but tate and mitchell had to pitch against floyd, sullivan, fletcher,Girdley, Gray, stutes, so thats some good pitchers they pitch against.......I mean who knows I think its Mitchell or Buchholz and whats odd there cousins lol.......
  6. I know he played at galveston Juco and made the all star game and put up very good numbers there, and was a starting pitcher for Texas A&M corpus christi for 2 years an put up descent numbers. But I hear he had alot of arm problems and a couple of surgeys so thats impressive with a bad arm. As for as tate I don't know what happen to him. What is Mitchell doing these days do you know.
  7. He's unhittable now, in High school he was great but as a high school pitcher it has to be mitchell or tate. They were starters for 4 years and clay was for 2 years.....also mitchell and tate played in a tougher district.........
  8. If you base it on High school career its prob Jarod Tate or Josh Mitchell back in the 98-2001 years, there team just couldn't hit those years, and they were the starting the pitchers for all 4 years, but if you base it on who has had the better career no doubt its clay buchholz the guy is a stud. But clay buchholz is the best now but in high school it was prob either tate or mitchell...
