David was a great PG. Unfortunately Silsbee was in the district with Beaumont Hebert and only 1 team made the playoffs back then. Silsbee lost a heart breaker against Hebert in 79 in the old Panther gym in Pear Orchard. The game was marred with a post game brawl between players and fans. Had to have a Police escort out of Beaumont. I will go to my grave saying Silsbee was screwed by the refs and the timekeeper.

They were special. Should have beat Borger in the semi final. To many missed free throws. Remember that game all to well
