I hope both of them enroll at Lamar, but first things first, let's not make all-americans out of them just yet, they both need to be excepted and enrolled. I just don't know how you can stay out of school for months at a time and then become eligible. They won't be able to transfer any hours because, as far as i know they haven't earned any. There's something up with the Hall kid, he signed w/ A&M and couldn't get in, so he transferred to Navarro stayed 2 yrs transferred to Tulsa, now he can't hack it i guess?? Just might be some reason for concearn with him. JMO
Jeremy must be taking at least 12 hours and WVU to remain eligible there.. And Derrick had to have at least 24 hours of credit to even take the field his sophomore year.. So Frog does have transferrable classes.
Is this a joke? He's been pitching since 02 and every hat has been covered. It's what he does.. It's rosin. Rosin dries sweat, if you think that has anything to do with him being dominant.. Then you know nothing about baseball. lol No one has ever mentioned his hat before, the Yankees won't have his hat checked because they know better.
 3.
I'm just stirring the pot.  I realize it's Coach Woodard's first season and it's going to take some time to get things right.  Having said that AJ25, it's not all that hard either.  So. Alabama is in their first year of football and they had enough time to get prepared for LU.
First things first, So Bama played a season last year, albeit it wasn't against major schools.. They still played games. They also have 15 Major D1 school transfers. Not making excuses for Lamar, but they have a year more than Lamar under their belt. Give them time. I haven't seen one game, only going off recaps and talking to my friends that are on the team. But I do know about the close loss to McNeese at their place, beating SELA at their place, winning their home opener and home coming game. Those are 4 things to be greatly excited about.. Not to mention a second year for the players, coaches, new facilities, etc... Keep supporting them. Without support they will go no where.
 4. It's the first year. Wait two or three years to hate on this staff. This is the best FCS Conference in the nation, it's not as easy as you guys think to make adjustments. Continue supporting the team, coaching staff, etc.. It's the first year, quit bad mouthing the coaching staff. When you're given one full day to get a scheme going for another team, and only 4 days to put it together.. It's not as easy as you think.
 5.
this is good! Would love to get JJ! How many years will Hall be able to play?
2 still because he hasn't play for Tulsa at all this year.
 6. Eagle 07 were you in Lufkin this past wkend?
 7. Admission standards are much lower for athletes. Also, they are much easier for transfer students.
 8.
They may say it only affects the "contact speed off the bat", but this coincides with ball travel. You won't see nearly the amount of collegiate homeruns this year, that I can guarantee you AJ.
Like I said, it only effects contact off the bat.. I saw some bombs dropped in the tourney, hit the sweet spot and it goes just as far. It's just one step closer to an all wood baseball league. As a pitcher, I love em. I know a ball won't kill me when it's a comeback off of those bats.. But I also know that if I leave it over the middle of the plate and it hits the sweet spot, nothing changes compared to the old bats.
 9.
TC ends up 3-0-1 for the weekend with wins over: TC  7-2  over Paris TC  3-3  tie with Panola TC  10-0 over Bossier Parrish TC  6-2  over North Texas CC The last three games were played with the new bats which are a game changer for sure. The Angelina College field is very nice and a good spot for tournaments.
The new bats are only supposed to affect the contact speed off the bat, not the distance the ball travels. Angelina's field is great though, for sure.
 10. Off subject.. But you're not going to spend the money UNT did on a new stadium and drop the team, that's not happening. I do agree that Lamar should be AT LEAST 5 years at the FCS level. TX State is looking to move, and every FBS team they play beats them by 30 at least. I don't care if Lamar plays an FBS schedule and are an FBS team if we just lose. I'd rather see a winner for 5-10 years at the FCS level building a WINNING mentality, then move.
 11.
I haven't seen any bashing of Lamar's football team from any Cardinal fan. Just what are you reading, AJ25?
Maybe bashing is the wrong word, but people bickering. There, much better. And not only on this thread, but many of the ones in the past.
 12.

You guys are pretty ridiculous. Who cares who likes the Cardinals, Cowboys, Astros, New York Yankees.. Or chili cheese dogs. Lamar is 2-1 and no one saw it coming. So shut up about who likes who, if you enjoy the Cardinals.. Make the drive to Nac for a good game against SFA. If not, sit at home. You guys seem so bitter about something all the time.
Hey, Lamar is 2-1 and they'll probably be 2-2 after this week versus SFA. I plan to make the trip to see the game and support the Cards as they might suprise us yet again. God forbid anyone talk negative about anyone, any other school or their team, or any trash talking as AJ25 thinks that is pretty ridiculous. Forgive me Lord for I have sinned in the eyes of AJ25. Sorry if you didn't see Lamar winning any games up to date but I was pretty sure we'd beat Webber and after the McNeese game I knew we had a chance against SE Louisiana so talk for yourself when you state "no one saw it coming".
I, nor no one else on here, care when people talk trash.. Except when it's on the same subject and none stop for ever and ever. I have countless friends that play for Lamar, and as I told them as well as other people.. The game at McNeese was going to be extremely tough and very hard to win.. and no one barely expected a win. Lamar playing them that close was a win overall. Everyone thought they'd beat Webber. SELA is a nationally ranked team with great weapons, and it's tough to play there on the road. I thought it would be a close game but not a W. Therefore, 1-2. I've talked to all my buds and congratulated them on an outstanding win and told them I would be there to watch them go 3-1 this week. I just don't understand why you guys thinks it's necessary to bash this team week in and week out when they have proven themselves. Like I said, if you are a Lamar fan go to Nac.. Great atmosphere, cheap tickets, and of course your Lamar Cardinals. If not, sit at home. Quit bickering. Talking trash and bickering are two totally different things.

Wish I could make it to this one.
Tulane was 2 blown plays away from making Ole Miss 0-2.
AJ25 you should have been at the game Saturday night.  Your homeboys played very well.
Sure wish I could have made it, just didn't have the money to make it all the way down to New Orleans. I know it's off subject, but Tulane is much improved this year and will continue improving. Back to the subject.. SELA should be a top 25 ranked D1-AA team if they aren't already. Those boys can play.
I was talking about your home boys at Lamar.  All 4 played well although I saw this morning that A Beard has reinjured his knee.  Don't know what that means but the rumblings don't sound good.
Oh yeah. For some reason I thought you were talking about the 409 guys that play for Tulane. But yeah, Lumberton boys are some big contributors for Lamar. Hussey's hard work is paying off, I think he's going to be a stud all 3 years he's there. Beard's knee just can't seem to get healthy, but from how long I've known him.. He won't let anyone take him off the field unless he can't walk anymore. So if he's not out there, it must be bad.

We had Panola a few days back and we swept the series with them, but they're a pretty solid ball club. Alvin usually is pretty salty too.
Alvin looked to be the better team, but it's still early.  I think it was 5-1 Alvin when I left.   It was just nice to watch some baseball and see some local kids play at the next level.  My nephews 8 yr old fall ball games weren't cutting it.  ;)
Haha definitely understand. How'd all the local guys do?

If he rehabs this right, he'll be out all next year and come back with a stronger/more improved elbow than before. This is a tough break injury, but better to have at this point in his career than later because his body will adapt more quickly.
