Haha even though he did some good things for MC. Hopefully I'll get to spend a good amount of time out there again this summer when I don't have games.
Had Clay and Allen Harrington together on a World Series team in Weimar one year. Both got lit up, baseball is a game of overcoming failure. Hey look forward to the summer, we have a spot for you.
i think I'm too old for the league now, 19 already. But Mack and I had talked about me possibly helping him coach a little bit if his other assistant doesn't come back. We'll see what comes of it.. I'd love to do anything I could out there, it's a great time.

 4. [Hidden Content] Look at this schedule. Huge diffence. 06 Season
 5. Lol it's just aggies way of keeping involved in things ;)
 6.

lol why is Aggies getting in this conversation, just stick with silsbee basketball my friend and i hope to see you next week at the drum.
It was necessary because he is a moderator and his job is to make sure people stay on topic and within the rules of the forum. Just saying...
Then like I said.. he should have stopped this a long time ago, because this thread was about Maine and North Carolina. That's it.
 7. Sam is getting now luck.. They'll get the ball rolling against Tx Southern this week.
 8.
Why is Barry Bonds even part of this conversation? Get back on topic please.
I don't think that was necessary.. Literally 5 sentences were said on that topic. And if you want to be on point, none of this has anything to do with Maine beating UNC, it's all been about SOS. So if you want to say that, then delete the whole thread because the point to this was Maine beating UNC. As for Lamar, solid team.. Young, but solid. There are reasons LU can't get people to come here, but no reason why LU can't go there. Preseason scheduling needs to pick up, end of story.
 9. He's right. There's one thing to get the season started off with easy W's.. But that also will not prepare you when you play teams twice as good in conference. I'd much rather play a set with TCU or Utah or even U of H (examples) and have it easier once conference starts then go, well.. we're 15-1, but we haven't played anyone near decent. I'd rather the season get easier team wise down the stretch than harder and harder as the season progresses. Because playing 56 games is already tough regardless of who you play. The conference games will never be easy, but they will be better prepared playing a better pre conference schedule.
 10.
sure sounds like lumberton has some firepower at the plate this year.
Experience is adding up. It's both Stanley's and Bingham's 3rd year on varsity, and Erickson's 4th.
 11. You guys act like baseball25 is killing someone.. All he is saying is that their lack of a pre conference schedule will keep them from an automatic bid. Look at the schedules of Sam, Tx State, UTA, etc... Strong schedules. Not Lamar's. You're an idiot if you don't recognize that.
 12.
Does anybody else get the feeling that Baseball25 is a former player for LU that has it out for Gilligan b/c Gilligan played "his favorites" and he was not one of them.  I get the impression from Baseball25 that if it weren't for Gilligan he probably would be making millions in big leagues right now.  Baseball25 you don't know baseball as well as you think you do, or you would know even the great Yankees lose 60+ games a year.  Last year in college, LSU lost 2 of 3 to Illinois, who is decent but wasn't a tournament team.  Teams lose, it's baseball. Also, I know UNC lost a lot but they still have scholarship players, and if you look at their roster (which I have) a high number of the players were drafted out of HS, so they aren't talentless. As far as this season goes, anybody who has followed Lamar baseball, especially lately, knows the Cards weakness has been scoring runs.  Not a problem this season, so far.  Once the pitching gets ironed out the Cards could be in for a strong season.  If they should get it together and win the Conference tournament, I have no doubt that Baseball25 will still be b*tch*ng about Gilligan and the Cards. Finally, the SLC is better conference than it was ten years ago.  More teams in the SLC have committed to baseball, and that is reflected in the quality of teams/players/coaches/facilities.
Well good judgement.. Not. Baseball25 is not a former player of Gilligan's, and if it weren't for an elbow injury he would have been drafted and would probably still be playing pro ball.
 13. 13-5 bottom 7
 14. Runner in scoring position, one out. We need this run
 15. They opened with Stanford, can't really blame them if they get swept lol
 16. Up 9-3 in the bottom of the 4th!! Kelly's Anthony Fazio got the start for Rice and only recorded one out.. His line was 3 hits, 4 ER, 2 walks, 1 K. Gave up 1 double and 1 triple
 17. Huge pick up for them.. Number 2 dual threat quarterback in the nation in 09. This would be about equal if Jeremy Johnson would stay at Lamar instead of West Virginia. Big pick up.

 20.
Baseball25, do you even know the history of Maine baseball? This is traditionally a very good program. They have been to the CWS 7 times. 1986 being the last time. They finished 2009 32-23. Funny thing is you hang your hat on a sweep of a UH team that has been the CWS twice, the last time being 1967!!! And what have they done lately? 27-31 last year?
Okay, and considering Baseball25 was talking about last year.. Let's go back to the record you just pointed out.. 32-23. Now remember, anyone that knows anything knows that NORTHERN baseball typically is much weaker than the south. I'm talking about states like New York, Conn, Penn, Maine, etc... Those states are much more weak, meaning Maine should have no problem running through that conference. They play teams like Hartford, Albany, Stony Brook.. C'mon now. You put U of H up against Maine and they would punish them. Granted, U oh H's record was not good.. Look at their conference. Big difference.
 21. He's 1-2 on the year with a HR and 2 rbis. He hasn't started either of the first two games, but he took advantage of his time lastnight.

On to 14th tied 4-4.
Sounds like a great one. You at the game Admin?
Gametracker AJ25, took care of Howard I see.
We sure did. Walk off hit against the number 4 junior college prospect in the nation.. He definitely lived up to his hype though. Hopefully we can continue to build off of today.
