Okay, from a college student's standpoint who isn't attending Lamar, there are several attractive reasons people choose Lamar. Very close to home, great engineering program, great nursing program, football coming back, solid athletics all the way around, growing campus, new facilities, good education, cheap prices, and close to friends. I know a lot of people going to Lamar that are happy about going.

Juco with football isn't the same with juco for baseball. Most of the time, you're better off going D2 in football. Now with college baseball most coaches go look at juco player first because they've learned more and have more savvy, etc. But football isn't the same. You're better off getting freshman and molding them into the players you want.

Buchholz last three starts were against Verlander, Sabathia and tonight Halladay. He just got the win against Halladay. he has thrown pretty great these last 3 starts. finally got some support today

From what I heard, Asa hasn't graduated highschool. And that is from a very trustworthy source. Sad story.

Gillam will most likely start every game of his career there.

Lots of things need to be updated, more than just football facilities. Inside the fieldhouse, new showers/restrooms, new and big training room, new and big coaches office, just a whole new fieldhouse. Baseball field needs new dirt, new pressbox, new dugouts. Football needs phones in the pressbox, new scoreboard, turf, new concessions. Lot's of things in Lumberton need updating.

You sound like you might be a coach. WTB used to coach in L-Town and I'm sure still has a good relationship with several of the coaches, so he does have an inside look. How about that WTB, I defended ya.....LOL : ;D So I was right, WTB do you know how the McDonald boy is doing that is playing running back, he is the one I heard some people talking about. They said he was big and fast... I dont remember him from last year... he was on jv lastyear. he is big and average speed for a running back. Last year he ran way too tall for a running back and was brought down too easily. This year I'm sure he was be the second back behind asher.

Clay continues to do pretty good in the 6th.. Cano (leadoff double), Swisher (sacbunt), Cabrara (Int walk), Molina (sac fly), Jeter (flyout - 0-4 off of Clay) 2-0 heading into top of 7 very good game by Clay, sure he's done now..

Clay pitches his way out of the fifth with Jeter (clay's favorite player growing up-- strikeout), Damon (double -- only cause Youkilis is playing leftfield and can't judge anything), Teixeria (walk), Rodriguez (groundout to clay), Matsui (groundout to clay) Not many people can say they have struck out their favorite player growing up. Still 1-0 top sixth. Redsox have 1 hit off of CC
