  1. this isn't college, i want a signed contract.. not a commitment!
  2. No offense to Lamar, but I'm not leaving Iowa for Lamar unless I have no shot to start at Iowa.
  3. he has no trade clause, but yes i would if he accepted. Would definitely get rid of him if he is willing. He would get too much in return to pass up on
  4. It looks to be finally leveled off, I'm sure they will begin working on the actual playing surface any day now. I'm sure they will used standard metal bleachers, which will take no time to install, as well as and average pressbox and scoreboard. Still though, it will make a great addition to Lamar Athletics!!!
  5. I think we could've found some quicker workers down south
  6. Ned, i just hope you are a parent and not an offensive player, if by chance you are a player, when you guys come to Lumberton...........let's just say, ice it down and the swelling will eventually go away, because the hitting is gonna be hard hard hard. OK don't count us out just yet i am a player and we have been working defense since we ended last season because of the softness in past years all I'm saying is that don't count us out were coming to knock some heads off and I have played on both sides the "L-train" doesn't hit that hard Bulletin board material.. And if Lumberton doesn't hit that hard, ya'll should've been able to beat us.. right? Right.
  7. Sparks has been at TE for atleast 3 years. Choate is an above average TE, and if they need to drop it off to a TE, it will go to him. Look to see Sean playing mostly defense.
  8. The sad thing is AJ I support Lumberton and the direction there going. I went to several of Lumbertons playoff games the past 2 seasons to support you guys. But some fans get on here and go on and on and on and on and they haven't taken the first snap this year. But honestly I think Lumberton will be in the mix again this season. I think we'll be much improved, but how much I cannot answer until after the first couple games. It's okay.. as a former player, parents like that give the players somethin fun to talk about during athletics. It's pretty entertaining. But I find it hard to believe that ya'll will not improve from lastyear.
  9. Easy dick.. they must be friends or he wouldn't of known, so chill. And like lazeek said, there is no address here.
  10. Even though Lumberton fans only show up when we win, the last two years Lumberton's following has been just as good as PNG's and Ned's IMO..
  11. This isn't the best Lumberton team, but they'll fight just like the previous two teams did.
  12. are you sure? played on that field about 4 or 5 times and never saw turf??
  13. Haha, I agree with WTB and PNGfan.. Don't get used to it PNGfan.
  14. I don't think most people on this bored have even been out there to their football field to see that ;D
  15. no they dont. Returning on the defensive side of the ball is SS Jesse Sparks, DT Mason Archer, DT James Richardson, DE Sean Sparks, LB Anthony Beard, and CB Kyler Keith. Those 6 guys will anchor the defense
  16. lol yes pirate football, you caught me. that's exactly it. Let me ask you this, when was the last time you've seen a football field with just turf sidelines? I'll give you a minute. Done thinking? That's right, you never have. It will look stupid, but it's going to serve a good purpose. I'd do it too.
  17. Yes to both
  18. he's a defensive linemen, guys. lol He reminds me a lot of Jonathon Ward from 2007..
  19. He is a late bloomer. You will know who he is come football season. #88
  20. dayton has been a spread team for years, they will hit you in the mouth. One good thing is that lumberton will get to scrimmage dayton, wont be much of a problem since we are not a fan of contact. Did I say anything about Dayton? And did I say all teams? No I said you won't see it very often. Dayton played for the state championship last year. Of course they had a great defense, way to state the obvious texan
  21. guess they are starting with the fieldhouse..
  22. like i said, position coaches do what the head coach says. And I'm sure that when the offense goes 3 and out, it will make it tough on the defense. But if you have players going only one way, you should have plenty of time to get prepped on the opposing teams offense so you can actually STOP them. It's up to the defense how long they are on the field once they get on the field, not the offense.
  23. Lumberton usually gets them every 2 years, and it's been 2 years so we shall see.
  24. so you're saying that a spread offense makes for a bad defense because of T.O.P? I don't think that's it. Most school's players only go one way, and if the do have some going both ways.. it's very few. I don't think that's it at all. The coach has to inforce a knock your block off mentality, and the coach can't do that when his offense never runs the ball. Yes I understand, most schools that run the spread have great athletes that are very fast, which is why they should throw the ball. But very few of those very fast guys are running around looking for contact. Those ones that do, go places. When the coach tries to finese his way down the field on offense, he won't have a powerful defense. I know this is kind of a homer statement, but look at Lumberton. We will run you over on offense, and DEFENSE. It's a mentality there. You don't see that mentality with most schools that run the spread.
