  1. someone is a little defensive ;D and you don't think the new coaches still have nothing to do with the lack of a good defense? any position coaches have to do what the head coach wants, so it's not always them..
  2. Here is something you won't very often see in highschool, a spread offense and a defense that will come and hit you in the mouth. If a coach likes to run around people with the spread offense, he's not a fan of contact. And he won't have a hard hitting defense. That's why some of the best defenses in the area are teams that run the sweep, stretch, and 300 game. Not teams with 4-5 wide recievers on every play. You can debate it all you want, but Nederland is perfect proof of my statement.

  4. we gotta get this list updated admin. lol It's probably getting close for me to pass the baton on the baseball updates. That post was made back in 2006. You interested? Lol Yeah sure, I can do it.
  5. derrick hall
  6. we gotta get this list updated admin. lol
  7. Oh really. : really. I've heard way too many stories from people being recruited, with A&M being one of them. And they've all said the same thing about them.
  8. Lamar may not be too shabby if they keep picking up these recruits
  9. thats what I was hoping would happen this year, but they are trying to fight back. Lee probably won't be going anywhere unless it is to a serious contender. Tejada is our best hope. Like I said though, we do not need outfielders. If they trade for an outfielder I'm officially a Rangers fan. We need a couple of infielders, and a couple of pitchers. They just need to keep Tejada or Lee if they cannot get one of those two positions. We have no infielders in our current infield that will be here in 5 years, except for possibly Berkman. We have only 2 quality starters. We have 3 number 5 starters in our rotation: Paulino, Ortiz, Hampton. Hampton could be a number 4. Pitching and infielding!
  10. I doubt he goes to A&M, Cmike is a far better athlete. He won't see the field very often.
  11. Hall played this year at Navarro, and had very good playing time. Wouldn't surprise me to see him come home to Lamar.. that would be great.
  12. Sherman is a terrible coach, and his staff is even worse. They are the most cocky coaches, and they have absolutely no room to be.
  13. Well as a former player, it's just nice to see. But it's not completely necessary. If fans made a difference, A&M would win a national title every year. ;D
  14. please be clean..
  15. Coming from someone that's been there.. it's up to the player to do the recruiting. Coaches will not do it for you. You must do it yourself, or with the help of someone like Coach Schrapps. You have to have video, just to get the process started. And for parents that may be reading it, there is no such thing as starting to early, the earlier the better. As long as your child is competing at a varsity level. Don't waste any time. If you have the means, you can do it yourself. If not, I'm sure Coach Schrapps knows exactly what to do, at a cost of course.
  16. you're kidding, right? i've heard a&m, but none of the others.
  17. maybe this poll should be about who brings the 2nd and 3rd most..
  18. Vidor was always one of the toughest games on the schedule.. one of the most physical games of the year. And sorry footballfever.. lumberton will take care of ya'll.
  19. johnny may finish medical school, but it may be a while. I see the guy getting drafted. JMO
  20. I think he is Keith O'Neal. His number might be 23. I also think he might be from Central. I'm not real sure about all that though. ;D
  21. still have to find another coach willing to risk his team with injury..
  22. bottom line we have to win. If we want to sell tickets, we have to win. If we want to move up, we have to win.
  23. i do not like that one single bit..
  24. good idea coach. I have a low boy, let's get after it
  25. The Astros will not resign him. They've made it pretty clear. Manzella is ready to go now down in Triple A. It seems stupid to me for them to not trade him, and get something in return. I think Berkman will pick it up, and take Tejada's place. They were fine down the stretch last year with Tejada playing horribly, so I think we will be fine again. And every year we have been needing to make a trade, and we never do it. We will never be a great team until we make changes. The sooner they make that change (trades) the sooner we will be a better team.
