  1. it's gonna be up to ackley whether or not they'll beat texas. they have to get past arizona state first though.
  2. i'd love to see the rangers make a deep playoff run, but not if it costs the astros a place in the standing. pick it up stros!
  3. thought the braves were the team to beat?
  4. that same mag also has lumberton coming in 6th place the year we went 3 deep in the playoffs.. it isn't always right..
  5. I am.. he said past or present
  6. nevermind looks like they are actually getting after it..
  7. P- Greg Maddux C- Ivan Rodriguez 1B- Mark Texieria (Grace only had 4, Tex has 2 and has many years left) 2B- Roberto Alomar SS- Ozzie Smith (13 to Vizquel's 11) 3B- Mike Schmidt LF- Barry Bonds CF- Andruw Jones RF- Ken Griffey Jr. XOF- Torii Hunter, Jim Edmonds
  8. Ruston Harris from Grandview (shortstop) was from Lumberton, and moved right before highschool started
  9. any update? or has nothing happened since the 9th..
  10. UT hopefully can pull it out.. If not, let's go LSU!
  11. The NL Central is all playing the same baseball. Every team is within 4 games back from the Cardinals. If the Astros want to have a chance, they will have to hope the other teams slow down, and that the Astros don't. They absolutely need to win the season series with the Cardinals, though. My stand on who they should trade still hasn't changed though. They still need to get ride of Tejada, because Manzella is batting .300 in Triple A, and will be the full time short stop next season. I do think they need to keep Pudge, as he is the only catcher in the system worth anything besides Castro, who is still probably a year away.
  12. yea he pitched in district against a few teams atleast..
  13. and i'd be happy to play for any one of them.. just making it that far means you are the cream of the crop. think about it, less the 3% of highschool athletes make it to the college level.. and less than 3% of college athletes go on to play at the professional level..
  14. well i guess they're not doing it for looks.. probably will work out good for them then.
  15. thats gonna look stupid..
  16. can't believe it's actually started..x
  17. Who cares, I just can't believe it's finally getting started.
  18. This is definately true. This is what was confusing me about the 'family issue'. Since Lamar is close to home, I sure hope he considers Lamar... my fault, we played central at central his senior year. that's pretty irrelevant though... from what i heard though, his son was 5 his senior year? if that's the case, he should be old enough for his dad to move on with his career.. If he had a 5yr old son then, he's got two kids now. I was at his newest born's baptism. This baby should be about one now. 2 kids.. idk how much time he has to play football, while trying to go to school. that will keep him away quite a bit.
  19. he had no professional career because griff used him so much in highschool
  20. always a reliable choice lol i bet dean throws a few more if he shut them down and smith is just a soph right? why not throw laird?

  22. he was a dad during his senior football season at lumberton. as great as it would be to have him at lamar, being a dad is more important...
  23. that just shows they're probably expecting him to be number 1 guy from the get go
