  1. i just don't see how 77 tackles is defensive player of the year worthy, not only that, allstate worthy?! especially when a sophomore in the SAME district had over 100 tackles?? not only was he not the best d-end in the DISTRICT, he wasn't even the best on his TEAM! number 2 (whatever his name is) is much better..
  2. lumberton won't lose any speed in the secondary, just experience. but other than the secondary, we should be fine.
  3. there is NOOOOOOOOO possible way dravanti should've gotten all-state, let alone PLAYER OF THE YEAR! thats a joke. seriously. its flat out ridiculous. jonathon ward is twice as good at d-end as dravanti is. and anthony had over 100 tackles compared to dravanti's 77. it's a joke. but hussey deserves it for sure. good job!
  4. lumberton will win this district, unless central beats us.
  5. ha quite trying to make us feel sorry for ya'll, if you haven't noticed.. it's not working =]
  6. ya they did!
  7. hey coop, you know this is the basketball thread, right? lol
  8. a lot closer to home now!
  9. we still need pitching. but good trade ;D
  10. as much as i hate that it's true, i'm not surprised. being that old, and still dominating. cmon.
  11. qualls was the best reliever we had, but valverde is one of the best closers in baseball. soo.. i'm not sure.
  12. i definetly think we can. it just depends on whether the girls believe that when chelsea and courtney aren't here.
  13. lumberton had either 18 or 19 counting honorable mention.
  14. ok i'm going to do my best on these (this is just the lumberton team that i know of) i may be wrong on some of these (whether it was 1st team, 2nd team, or honorable mention). honorable mention: LB Cody Gillfillian FB Aaron Grillo DE Kendall Duvall DT Mark Murril LB Justin Hare OT John Schmidt CB BJ Belt 2nd Team: QB Bryce Dejohn WR Aaron Credeur CB Jonathon Bell DT Jacob Hanna FS Travis Wilkerson SS Jeremy Carter OT Hunter Howden G Andy Golden 1st Team: LB Anthony Beard DE Jonathon Ward C Kyle Gillam G PJ Hartt TE Cody Evans Offensive MVP: Cody Hussey
  15. All 11 starters on Lumberton's Defense got all-district. and 10 of the 11 starters on Lumberton's offense got all-district. including bryce dejohn (2nd team quarterback).
  16. yeah he ended up playing 2 minutes. but he didnt look all that bad considering he hasnt played in 2 years.
  17. great game =] ppl were oowing and aawwing at tha lamar game when they announced it. lol
  18. ik think byu takes this one. it's too big of a step up from lc which is a d3.
  19. well hussey of coarse was our feature back.. he deserved it. but when hanna got the ball, he was VERY hard to bring down. he scored several touchdowns. most of his offensive touchdowns came from running routes outta tha backfield and catching balls in the flats, and making ppl miss
  20. i guess your forgetting that hussey runs a 4.7-4.8, and hanna, who will be the starter next year, ran a 4.5 at an OSU camp this summer. so he is faster. and beard runs about a 4.8, so sure, hussey is without a doubt the best back to ever come through this school.. but we will run the ball just as succesfully next year.
  21. great trade for the tigers, not so much for the marlins.
  22. the overall mvp will be dugat. but the offensive mvp will be hussey.
  23. he'll make the team out of spring training. and he should get a good bit of playing time too..
