OK, they were run-ruled twice. By who? This district was weak last year, and they were run-ruled at least twice. So, pardon me if I don't place them high up in my preseason picks for the district.

Deweyville is going to have to improve tremendously to make a run in this district. They were run-ruled last year several times in district, and the district looks to be tougher in 2007. What's the reasoning behind so many posters thinking they will be this competitive? Do they even know who is coaching them yet?

Kingwood and Westbrook always have really good middle infielders. I'm sure this year will be no exception.

Liberty won 6 games last year? They have fell a long way in the last 8-10 years. I remember when they were in the regional championship, and even the state championship in the Jack Parker days. What happened? They run out of talent or what?

What's the best 7th or 8th grade football team you guys have seen this year? I saw Kountze's 8th grade a few weeks ago, and was pretty impressed. Anybody seen anything worth talking about?

Wow Kryptonite, that's pitiful. No one can understand what you're trying to say. Deweyville didn't make it out of their district, and their parents/themselves are on here nominating for every superlative in southeast Texas. That's what I'm against. It's ridiculous.

Don't know about this area, but in Texas, it has to be C.C. Moody. Kingwood's fans are great as well.

In his 4 games against the top two teams in that district, he went 1-6 (Newton), and 1-7 (Hardin). How in the world did he hit .600 in district? Is Vines doing some pencil whipping in Deweyville or what?

They'll have a tough time replacing the second baseman, and the Zamarrippa kid, that's for sure. Pavliska will figure something out, and be able to compete though.

Did Newton end up winning it outright, or did they share the district title? I haven't heard what ended up happening in that mess of a race.

I hope the statistician from Huffman isn't the same one they had when Rodney Pate was there around '95, '96, and '97. Anybody remember him chasing the national record in stolen bases? He had in the upper eighties to lower nineties like two years in a row. We played them four times in those two years and he never stole a base. The same week we would play them, in the Chronicle, his stolen bases would jump up six or seven bags. No kidding. He was also hitting over .600 and never got a base hit against us. It was such a joke.
