from what I've seen, I'd have to give the nod to Logan..like em both. Hussey the better receiver
Hussey seems to be a little tougher between the tackles.  Logan appears to be quicker.  I like em both too.  We need to run out of the I more.  Put both tight ends in and see if we can't run it down someone's throat on occasion.

If they make the SLC tournament Coach Roc will still be around.  BTW, I've heard there may be four new starters with Custer making the 5th. Anyone else hear anything like this?
We have been season ticket holders since 92' and have heard the same ol thing every year...But we enjoy the fans that we have made over the years.  Some have grown tired of it and have not came back.  There are some though that come until they can't come anymore.  We lost two very long time fans in Sept.  They will be missed. It sounds like.... we are in for a treat this year IF the players can play as advertised.  An added treat would be if the students and at least half the football fans attend the men and women's games.
I gave up my season tickets a few years ago after having them for nearly 20 years.  I just couldn't take the misery any more.  I hope Roc can get things turned around but I've heard the optimism every year so the proof is in the pudding.

Lamar does indeed have nice facilities for football. The only thing missing is a indoor practice facility. Any donors out there?  ;D
Earlier this year I asked Woodard about an indoor facility when he did that online chat with the Beaumont Enterprise and he said Lamar doesn't need one, but I'm sure if someone ponied up the money they wouldn't turn them down.  Hopefully they'll have to expand the stadium soon due to demand. 12.
At first I was thinking this was not the best game for him to go to, if he's thinking about transferring, but in hindsight, it's the best position for him. Lamar has competitive facilities and a QB that needs to be replaced (I think that's the general consensus). Also, if you look around the SLC Sam has a true Freshman QB SFA's star QB is leaving, but his backup (Brady Attaway) is also a Freshman TSU-SM's starter is a freshman McNeese is starting a freshman This is his best opportunity to get in early and make an impact.
As long as someone is eligible I don't care if he is 4 or 40.  Play whoever is the best.

I could not agree with you more.  It's ashame that they let Taylor Trahan slip through their fingers.  We definitely would not have to worry about missed field goal attempts!
Some TSU-SM posters were blaming the kicker for their quadruple overtime loss to Nicholls on Saturday, and it reminded me of something my high school coach used to tell me. If the offense had played better, we wouldn't have needed the kicker to begin with. Before you start blaming kickers for not making chip shots, just think about if the offense had done a little better and gotten him closer. He used to tell us that if the defense had picked up some fumbles or ran back some interceptions, we wouldn't have lost either. We lost a lot. =( That's my opinion on it, but that's because I saw my offense in high school get chewed out a lot, and we were all pretty down after losses. It's easy to blame the kicker.
Oh come on, if not for the kicker we would be undefeated!   :D
If not for the kicker, you would have been shut out against SFA. I feel bad for kickers. They get all the grief if they miss one and the team loses, but the QB gets all the credit for driving them down the field in the final minutes so that the kicker can kick it.
Hello??!!  It was a joke!!!  We lost 71-3 to SFA.  I don't think that was the kicker's fault.  We were hammered by SHSU.  The kicker would have to have made what?  10-12 field goals (I can't recall that score).  And we lost 26-0 to USA!  You really think anyone thinks that was the kicker's fault?
I know that's a dream that Billy Tubbs wants to see. I actually think it might hurt a little bit, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the same number of people for your games as in the past. Y'all have a great turnout for basketball, and the fans deserve a better home slate, but that's a different topic all together.
I don't see basketball attendance changing very much until we start winning.  It has been a LONG AND PAINFUL stretch for our anemic basketball program.  I hear we landed some really good recruits but I hear that almost every year.  So, the proof is in the pudding.  Now, one thing I hope happens is that the students will start going to the games.  Basically you had the friends of India, a handfull of sorority and fraterntiy members, and about 100 other students at the games and that's it.  They should be able to draw 2,000 - 3,000 from the students alone. Anyway, I don't think it will take much to fill up the Montagne but we are going to have to win. With football, winning is not all that important right now.  Right now everyone is having a blast tailgating and just having football back.  But, we all know that won't last forever so hopefully we will have early success.  I also hope we keep recruiting a lot of local talent and I hope some of the really good local talent opts to play here.

South Alabama is only in their second year and they have played a cream puff schedule and they dominated us.  However, when I consider their athletes vs our athletes I didn't see much of a difference.  So, other than the walking turnover known as Bevil, the only difference would be coaching.  You talk about how USA defense was just sit back and wait...well duh, that's because the coaches continue to want throw the ball no matter what.  And what is even more ridiculous is they make it blatantly obvious!!!  We continually line up in the spread, qb in the shotgun, and don't even bother using the play action on occasion.  It's basically like we are telling the defense ahead of time what we are going to do. I give our coaching a D+ thus far.  Why don't we ever use a fullback?  Why don't we ever go with two tight ends?  Why don't we ever run a screen pass?  Why don't we ever blitz on defense?  Why are we constantly ok with absolutely no pressure on the opposing qb?  I think our o-line does a decent job.  But the play calling sucks.  And Bevil turns the ball over way too much.
